Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a heartwarming photo on their wedding anniversary yesterday (Tuesday, April 29).

The Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated 14 years of marriage on April 29 with a trip to Scotland.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Prince William and Kate shared an intimate photo for their 16.7 million followers to see.

In the photo, the royal couple can be seen with their arms around each other, near a lake, looking out across a stunning Scottish landscape.

Thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome.

The location tagged on the photo showed that the couple were on the Isle of Mull in the Inner Hebrides. The island can be found off the west coast of Scotland.

“Wonderful to be back on the Isle of Mull,” the royal couple captioned the post.

“Thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome [love heart emoji]. W & C.”

William and Kate enjoy wedding anniversary in Scotland

Fans of the Waleses took to the comment section to gush over the heartwarming photo – and to wish them a happy anniversary in Scotland.

“I’m so happy that you were able to have this moment to yourselves. Beautiful photo,” one fan wrote.

“Happy 14th wedding anniversary. We all are behind you!” another said.

“Lovely photo and congrats to 14 years,” a third commented.

Adorable moment of William and Kate caught on camera in Scotland

During their trip to the Isle of Mull, Kate and William visited the town of Tobermory.

As the couple walked through the picturesque town, a sweet moment between the couple was caught on camera. Kate was seen turning to her husband, flashing him a wide smile, and touched his back.

Later, a candid photo of the royal couple sharing a laugh together at Aros Hall, an event space where they met with families and artisans.

During their two-day stay on the island, the couple also visited a community hub and artisan market. Kate impressed onlookers as she used a nail gun to build a sign for a local Community Pantry.

Their visit to the island is focused on celebrating community resilience, sustainability and connection.

William and Kate, of course, met in Scotland, at St Andrews University. They both attended the university back in the early noughties, where their romance blossomed.

They eventually tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011.
