Selling Sunset star Amanza Smith's verdict over Prince Harry: 'Meghan Markle can have him'
Amanza and Meghan Markle both appeared on Deal or No Deal
Selling Sunset star Amanza Smith may have shared a small screen with Meghan Markle, but she’s made it clear she wouldn’t trade places with the Duchess of Sussex, especially when it comes to Prince Harry.
Speaking to the Daily Mail at the Grove Gallery in London, where she debuted her first UK art exhibition earlier this week, the 48-year-old reality star, artist and model had a candid take on Meghan’s marriage to Prince Harry.

“Meghan was on Deal or No Deal a season before me,” Amanza said, referencing the American version of the game show where both women once worked as “briefcase girls”.
“But now, looking at her journey, I’m glad I missed the boat. I don’t think the royal family would want me married into it.”
She added with a laugh: “I used to drink quite a lot, I have like 30 tattoos, I vape, and I cuss like a sailor. She can have him.”
Meghan Markle appeared on Deal or No Deal USA from 2006 to 2007, famously holding briefcase number 24.

Amanza followed shortly after, holding briefcase number 19 in 2009 and case 20 in 2010. She eventually became a star of Netflix’s real estate reality hit Selling Sunset.
Now, with her painting career on the rise, Amanza has her sights set on Europe, particularly London – not for its rainy skies, but its romantic potential.
“I am pretty single right now. I’m open to meeting somebody,” she revealed. “On my Raya dating profile, it’s always British guys. Or someone from Spain or Italy, just somewhere else, not Los Angeles. Maybe I’ll meet someone while I’m in London, or they’ll come to my exhibition.”
Meghan’s estranged brother makes divorce prediction
While Amanza rejects the royal route, Meghan and Prince Harry’s own path continues to draw headlines.
This week, Meghan’s estranged brother, Thomas Markle Jr, reignited controversy by claiming in a TalkTV interview that Meghan would divorce Harry if they lost their royal titles.
“I think once the titles get stripped, I think Harry’s done,” Thomas claimed.
His comments came amid ongoing debate about the Sussexes’ standing within the royal fold.
Despite stepping down from royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan still hold their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles. They also have their HRH titles, but they don’t use them publicly.
However, calls to remove the HRH titles have intensified in recent months. Meghan recently faced public backlash after it was revealed that she used the HRH title to send a gift to a friend.
Meanwhile, the royal family made several high-profile appearances this week for VE Day’s 80th anniversary.
King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate attended a series of events leading up to the official anniversary on Thursday (May 8).
