Princess Diana would have been 'proud' of Prince Harry's BBC interview
Harry sat down with the BBC following his court loss recently
Princess Diana would have been “proud” over Prince Harry‘s recent BBC interview, a royal author believes.
Following the dismissal of his legal appeal over the loss of high-level police protection in the UK, the Duke of Sussex gave an emotionally charged interview to the BBC.
During the interview, he opened up about his strained relationships with King Charles and Prince William. He also expressed his desire for reconciliation with his family.

Princess Diana would be ‘proud’ of Prince Harry over BBC interview
Now, royal experts have weighed in – notably Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine and a longtime royal biographer. She shared her insight on HELLO!‘s A Right Royal Podcast.
“I think she might have been proud,” Ingrid said of Diana’s likely reaction to the BBC interview. “She might have said, ‘I’m glad you said what you thought.'”
Ingrid knew Princess Diana personally and has written extensively about her life.
She might have said, ‘I’m glad you said what you thought.’
“I think she would, I’m guessing, that she might have been quite proud of him for speaking up and saying what he thought, because that’s what she liked,” she added. “She liked to say exactly what she thought and then deal with the consequences afterwards, which is, of course, what happened to her.”
Princess Diana was known for her emotional honesty and willingness to defy royal protocol in interviews.
During her 1995 Panorama interview, Diana candidly discussed her failing marriage to then Prince Charles and her experiences with the royal family.

Prince Harry calls for family reconciliation in BBC interview
Speaking candidly to the BBC earlier this month, the Duke of Sussex, 40, revealed that King Charles “won’t speak to [him]”.
Despite the silence, Harry expressed a heartfelt desire to reconcile.
“I would love reconciliation with my family,” he admitted. “There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
Harry lost his appeal over his level of security whilst in the UK. He appealed a decision that had downgraded his security after he stepped back from royal duties and moved to the US with wife Meghan Markle.
Their security is decided on a case-by-case basis – something Harry wasn’t happy with. He insisted he couldn’t bring his family to the UK because of his safety concerns.
While some praise Harry’s emotional transparency in the BBC interview, other royal experts warn that his comments may only widen the divide within the royal family.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Us Weekly: “I think it will confirm the king’s view that he is not to be trusted.”

What did Diana call Harry?
According to reports, Diana had a series of cute nicknames for her son – including “My little Spencer” and “Good King Harry” – as she apparently thought Harry was better equipped to the role of future king.
Harry shared a close bond with his mother. He was just 12 when Diana died following a car crash in Paris.
