The narrative online is that Meghan Markle had the hots for Prince Harry all along. Some claim that she told a fib about her lack of knowledge of the royal family.

They claim that Meghan had instead been an observer all along, with a love for Princess Diana and dreams of becoming a princess one day.

However, an awkward clip from 2015, just months before she met Prince Harry, proves that wooing a prince was the last thing on her mind.

Meghan Markle’s ‘indifference’ towards Prince Harry before first date

The former Suits actress battles an array of narratives, especially on social media, with some dubbing her love story with the now Duke of Sussex calculated.

Elsewhere, others insist that Meghan was more focused on her thriving acting career than bagging a prince.

One thing that is very clear, is that it was love at first sight for Prince Harry.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle hadn’t been amongst the flocks of clamouring Prince Harry fans.

In a resurfaced clip from 2015, a laidback Meghan is being interviewed about a variety of topics.

It was here that she was asked who she prefers, Prince William or Prince Harry?

“The answer lay in his blue eyes. As they say in movies, they had each other at ‘hello’,” he wrote.

She understood him as a man, not a title.

He went on to say: “She understood him as a man, not a title.

“In that subtle one-upmanship of a first date he realised that while his grandmother might be the Queen, Meghan had given a speech at a United Nations forum.

“As he subsequently confessed, he realised that he would have to up his game.”

Harry gushed at the time: “I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly – it was a confirmation to me that all the stars were aligned.”
