Brooklyn Beckham has found himself at the centre of an alleged family feud, and now, he’s reportedly seeking support from Prince Harry.
It’s been alleged that tensions are rising within one of the UK’s most high-profile families, as Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, remain noticeably absent from recent Beckham gatherings.
The pair have reportedly cut communication with Brooklyn’s parents David and Victoria Beckham. Now, in an unexpected twist, they’ve apparently turned to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for guidance.
According to The Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have offered their “unwavering support” to the couple.
Why are the Beckhams feuding?
The alleged feud apparently traces back to December, when Romeo Beckham began dating DJ and model Kim Turnbull.
Although Kim was once rumoured to be Brooklyn’s ex, his younger brother Cruz Beckham reportedly clarified via Instagram: “Brooklyn and Kim never dated.”
Still, speculation swirled due to Kim’s past association with Brooklyn back when they were seen hanging out during their teenage years. However, it’s said they were just friends.
Now that she’s officially dating Romeo and fully integrated into Beckham family events, sources suggest her presence has pushed Brooklyn and Nicola away.
One insider claimed to TMZ that this reaction isn’t jealousy, but rather concerns over Kim’s “intentions” with Romeo.
Rumours of a feud hit headlines after Brooklyn and Nicola skipped David Beckham’s early 50th birthday bash.
Harry was fully aware of the situation and offered Brooklyn his unwavering support as someone who has been through similar.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn and Nicola’s third wedding anniversary fell on April 9. However, it was not acknowledged publicly by any of the Beckhams.
Just days later, on Victoria Beckham’s 51st birthday, while the family celebrated on a superyacht in Miami, Brooklyn and Nicola were partying at Coachella.
A source allegedly told the Daily Mail: “There has been no call, no contact, nothing. As parents, David and Victoria are very concerned for their son.
“They just want him to know that they are there for him when he’s ready to talk. But he simply doesn’t seem interested. David even tried through social media last Monday.”
The source blamed Nicola directly: “Nicola must be behind this. She’s been driving this wedge for years now.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle offer ‘support’ to Brooklyn Beckham
In a surprising development, Brooklyn and Nicola reportedly found comfort at an intimate dinner hosted by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at their Montecito mansion.
According to PEOPLE, the dinner, which included around 18 guests, was “an unexpected invite, but one gratefully received”.
A source told the publication: “Brooklyn and Nicola were invited prior to David’s numerous global birthday galas, so the timing is pure coincidence.”
Meanwhile, another insider spoke to The Sun about the dinner.
“Harry and Meghan were very empathetic and kind to them both,” a source also told The Sun. “Harry was fully aware of the situation and offered Brooklyn his unwavering support as someone who has been through similar.”
Meghan and Nicola also apparently connected over their shared experiences with media scrutiny.
“Nicola and Meghan had a bit of a ‘deep n’ meaningful’,” the source added. “Both women have been positioned in the media as home-wreckers – the women to tear apart their husbands’ families. Meghan had a lot of sympathy for her and said there was shared common ground. They didn’t meet in relation to recent developments and headlines, but it was an honest but very welcome coincidence.”
Beckham family feud
This isn’t the first time the Beckham-Peltz relationship has hit rocky ground.
Rumours of tension surfaced in 2022 during wedding preparations for Brooklyn and Nicola. Disagreements over planning reportedly caused friction between Nicola and Victoria.
Despite a period of apparent peace, with Nicola attending Victoria’s fashion shows and the two women publicly supporting each other, the silence surrounding David’s official 50th birthday in London reopened old wounds.
According to TMZ, Brooklyn and Nicola were due to attend. However, it’s claimed they will not be present at any public family events that Kim is at.
David later posted a photo with his sons from a fishing trip, tagging Brooklyn: “You were missed @brooklynpeltzbeckham.”
According to The Sun’s source, the Beckhams are “distraught by the fallout and insist the door is always open to their son”.
