King Charles 'sends private message to Joe Biden' following cancer news
The former US President spoke out on Instagram todayKing Charles has reached out to Joe Biden with a private message following the former US President’s cancer news, reports claim.
It was confirmed yesterday (Sunday May 18) that the 82-year-old Democrat politician has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. A statement from his office said the “aggressive” cancer has spread to his bones.
According to reports, the cancer’s presence was discovered on Friday last week after Biden reported urinary symptoms. Doctors subsequently found a small nodule on his prostate.
He and his family are said to be reviewing treatment options for Biden, who left office in January this year as the oldest serving US president in history.

King Charles’ ‘message’ to Joe Biden following cancer news
According to ITV, the king has written privately to Joe Biden to express his support following the announcement.
King Charles previously had treatment for an enlarged prostate. However, the type of cancer the monarch is living with has not been confirmed.
The king and the former US President have been thought to have had a warm relationship in the past. King Charles hosted the long-serving politician for tea and talks at Windsor Castle in July 2023. They also met during the Cop26 summit in Glasgow in November 2021.
And while Mr Biden did not attend the coronation in 2023, he did mourn the late Queen at her funeral in September 2022.
Furthermore, he previously commented following the announcement of the king’s condition in early 2024: “I’m concerned about him. Just heard about his diagnosis. I’ll be talking to him, God willing.”
He later posted on X: “Navigating a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship takes hope and absolute courage.”

Social media users were impressed with King Charles’ approach to the concerning development.
“Very classy and wonderful thing to do,” one user wrote on X.

Meanwhile, a third remarled: “King Charles is right to send a message to Joe Biden.”
As Joe Biden and his wife Jill shared a post on Instagram earlier today, emotional followers offered their best wishes.

Joe Biden says ‘cancer touches us all’ in message on Instagram
Alongside a photo of Joe and Jill smiling, the message read: “Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”
One wrote: “Sending sincere prayers your way Mr. President! You have fought tragedy and adversity countless times and been victorious; may God grant you the opportunity to be victorious once again!”
“We all love you Joe. Praying for a strong recovery,” said another.
And a third contributed: “Praying for complete healing! Best President ever! Love and God bless you.”
Current President Donald Trump also sent a message to Biden on Truth Social. He said: “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis.
“We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”
