Among the images seen in the Duchess of Sussex’s latest Instagram post included pics of the couple embracing, as well as a heartwarming shot of Prince Harry cradling a baby Prince Archie. Other pics included a baby scan, and Prince Archie kissing his sister Princess Lilibet on the forehead nearby to a Christmas tree.
But as fans have reminisced about Prince Harry and Meghan’s romance and subsequent wedding on social media in recent days, another royal kiss has popped up in users’ remarks.
This includes one between the now King Charles and his daughter-in-law Meghan, also from her wedding day.

The touching moment was previously revealed during the 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan. It was captured in a candid black and white photograph.
Meghan Markle also addressed in one episode why the then Prince of Wales walked her down the aisle, rather than her father.

Meghan recalled: “Harry’s dad is very charming. And I said to him: ‘I’ve lost my dad in this.’ So him as my father-in-law was really important to me. So I asked him to walk me down the aisle and he said yes.”

Meghan and her father Thomas Markle are believed to have been estranged ever since. Reports claimed at the time he pulled out of the 2018 ceremony at Windsor Castle upon advice from doctors.
He had suffered from ill health in the lead-up to the royal nuptials.

Who paid for Meghan Markle’s wedding?
The royal family covered the wedding costs for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, according to reports.
According to a BBC report, the entire wedding bill may have come in at around £32million ($42m).
This reportedly included a £50,000 ($66k) wedding cake, a floristry bill of £110,000 ($147k), and a catering spend of £286,000 ($382k).
Meanwhile, police and security reportedly cost £3.4million ($4.5m) according to The Guardian.
The late Queen, Prince Harry and Meghan, and his father reportedly foot the bill.
However, taxpayers shelled out for the security to keep everyone safe.

A royal statement released after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got engaged read: “As was the case with the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the royal family will pay for the core aspects of the wedding, such as the church service, the associated music, flowers, decorations, and the reception afterwards.”
