The 60-year-old wife of Prince Edward spend time recently at the Royal School for the Blind Charity – and fans couldn’t get enough of how Sophie got stuck in during the visit.
A reel video showed the duchess enthusiastically playing games with staff and students during her heartwarming drop in. And Sophie was also spotted gently pushing the boundaries of royal protocol as she tenderly embraced students with an unaffected air, drawing plaudits for her “authenticity”.

The latest post shared by the royal family’s official Instagram account evidenced how valued Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh is by followers.
The upload’s caption explained: “An inspiring afternoon with the incredible staff and students at the Royal School for the Blind Charity! The Duchess of Edinburgh visited to learn how the school is helping reshape perceptions of visual impairment.”
It continued: “Whilst at the school, Her Royal Highness took part in activities such as table cricket, before trying her hand at writing braille.
“It was particularly encouraging to hear how the charity is supporting the next generation of teachers and carers. Thank you for all that you do!”
Amid such gratitude and expressions of approval from thousands of social media users, it was clear fans also felt Sophie was due plenty of appreciation herself.

As well as the post accruing thousands of Likes, dozens of supporters also conveyed the high esteem they hold the down-to-earth duchess by flooding the comments section with positive emojis.
Additionally, many highlighted her cherished status and said how they consider her to be a stirring representative for the royals.
