Kate Middleton's gesture after giving birth to son Prince Louis that royal staff found 'touching'
Kate has been praised by royal fans
A sweet claim from Kate Middleton’s early days as a mother to Prince Louis has resurfaced on social media, once again drawing praise for the Princess of Wales’ warm and thoughtful nature.

Kate Middleton’s ‘considerate’ gesture to palace staff after birth of Prince Louis
This week, a royal fan account on X shared a post featuring a photo of Kate beaming down at newborn Prince Louis, taken shortly after his birth in 2018.
The caption read: “This is how you keep staff, by including them and making them feel as if they matter. The Princess of Wales went to introduce her then newborn son, Prince Louis, at the staff quarters.”
The post referenced an anecdote first shared by a former royal aide with The Daily Telegraph. The aide recalled in 2023: “The Princess of Wales is very popular with staff. I remember after Prince Louis was born, she popped into Clarence House, quietly knocked on the door of the staff quarters and introduced them all to the baby. They were really touched by that.”
Fans were quick to shower Kate with praise in the comments this week.
The Princess of Wales is very popular with staff.
“Catherine, Princess of Wales, is warm, compassionate and empathetic to all the royal staff,” one user wrote.
“Catherine really is such a fabulous, classy lady, so well-mannered and lovely,” another gushed.
“She is just a lovely, considerate young woman,” another agreed, while a fourth fan declared: “Absolute top-tier royalty. I am so glad her world collided with William’s.”
Some commenters couldn’t help but draw comparisons to Meghan Markle, who has faced allegations of mistreating staff during her time as a working royal. Meghan has denied all allegations.
“Amazing what happens when you treat staff with kindness and respect,” one user quipped.
Another chimed in: “If you treat staff well and respectfully, they work better and have respect for you.”

Kate Middleton is becoming an ‘icon’ in the parenting world
As The Daily Telegraph reported at the time, Kate and William are known for maintaining a family-oriented, relaxed environment in their royal household.
Staff are reportedly encouraged to dress casually around the couple’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, unless a formal event is taking place.
Royal author Valentine Low, in his book Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, interviewed an anonymous staff member about what life is like working for the Waleses.
“William wants it to be casual,” they reportedly told Valentine, as reported by The Mirror.
“The kids run around the office, and he does not want it to be stuffy. If we have important meetings or are going to Buckingham Palace, then, of course, we dress up.”
The informality extends to parenting. William and Kate are said to reject traditional royal parenting methods in favour of a modern, emotionally intelligent approach.
Reports claim that shouting is banned in their household. Instead, staff are instructed to help teach the children how to express emotions calmly and respectfully.
Parenting expert Kirsty Ketle previously told The Mirror that Kate is “fast becoming an icon in the parenting and early years world” because of her authentic, loving approach.
“Kate’s childhood home was full of love,” Kirsty noted. “It’s clear she’s bringing that into her own family. Her approach shows that it’s okay to be warm, caring, and present as a parent, even as a royal.”
