A "special" episode of Confessions of a Female Founder will drop next week
Meghan Markle has teased a surprise guest on her podcast for an unexpected and very special bonus episode.
Just when fans thought Confessions of a Female Founder had wrapped its debut season, Lemonada Media, the producer of Meghan’s podcast, revealed a “bonus episode” is dropping next week, and it features a very special, very familiar voice.

“We had just wrapped Confessions of a Female Founder and packed up the mics, until a call came in that we couldn’t ignore,” Lemonada wrote in a social media post on Thursday, May 29. “On the line was one of the most influential and inspiring matriarchs in culture today. Naturally, we hit record.
“Meghan says it best: this one is special. We hope you’ll join us for a BONUS episode of Confessions of a Female Founder, coming next Tuesday.”
Next week, we’ve got one more very special interview for you.
In the teaser, Meghan herself hinted at the upcoming guest.
“Next week, we’ve got one more very special interview for you,” she gushed. “A bonus episode. Because when a matriarch calls, and when this matriarch calls, oh, you answer.”
While Meghan and Lemonada kept the guest’s name under wraps, it didn’t take fans long to figure out who was on the line.
The moment listeners heard the unmistakable voice and Meghan’s warm “this one is so special, y’all”, the internet exploded as the surprise guest seems to be none other than Tina Knowles.
In a brief clip from the episode, Tina is heard opening up about her fierce dedication to her family, which includes superstar daughters Beyoncé and Solange.
“I tell them every day, since they were little girls, ‘You belong anywhere you choose to be,'” Tina says, sharing the empowering words that helped shape two of the most influential women in music.
Meghan introduces the guest as an iconic “matriarch”, a fitting title given her recent memoir The Matriarch.
The memoir chronicles her extraordinary life, from her childhood in Texas to her role as a designer, businesswoman, and mother navigating fame, family, and the entertainment industry.
Meghan and Beyoncé’s friendship
Meghan’s connection to Tina Knowles and her family runs deep.
The Duchess of Sussex and Beyoncé famously shared a warm moment at the London premiere of The Lion King in July 2019, when the iconic singer greeted Meghan with an affectionate “my princess”.
Since then, Meghan and Beyoncé have exchanged words of support, including a check-in from Beyoncé after Meghan and Harry’s bombshell Oprah interview in 2021.
“I still can’t believe she knows who I am,” Meghan marvelled in the couple’s Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.
That mutual admiration continues today. Meghan and Harry recently enjoyed a date night at Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Meghan shared some sweet snaps from the evening on Instagram. “About last night….” she captioned the post. “Thank you @beyonce and team for an amazing concert (and a very fun date night)! All love.”
