Who is Ernest Brooksbank?
Ernest Brooksbank is the youngest son of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. He was born on May 30, 2023.
He’s the late Queen Elizabeth II’s great-grandchild. However, the queen never got to meet Ernest as she died in September of 2022.
Ernest is currently 14th in line to the British throne.
On May 30, 2023, Eugenie and Jack, 39, announced the arrival of Ernest on Instagram. It’s their second son after they welcomed son August in February 2021.
He is named after his great-great-great Grandfather, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald.
Eugenie said: “Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs.”
Revealing the meaning behind his name, Eugenie added: “He is named after his great-great-great Grandfather, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald. Augie is loving being a big brother already.”
Ronald is the father of Eugenie’s mother Sarah Ferguson. He died in 2003. Meanwhile, Grandpa George refers to Jack’s father, George Brooksbank.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s children
Eugenie and Jack are also parents to their son August, who was born in February 2021.
In 2024, Eugenie opened up about family life. The family split their time between the UK and Portugal, where Jack works.
Speaking to HELLO!, Eugenie said: “They love swimming. The sea in Portugal’s a little bit rougher. So we’ve got our feet in, but Augie is a fish. He literally loves it and we have whales and dolphins all across the walls.
“We’ve got a book called The World’s Wildest Waters, which is backed by Blue Marine Foundation – I see it every morning when Augie’s eating breakfast, and he’s like, ‘Mama!’ and then we go through it.”

When did Jack and Eugenie get married?
Eugenie – who is Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s youngest daughter – married Jack at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. They took their vows in October 2018.
They now split their time between the UK and Portugal. Jack works in Portugal with property tycoon Mike Meldman, who is managing a 300-home development in the Algarve.
