Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's true feelings over having baby number three are not new
The royals caused a frenzy with their hospital video...Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex caused a stir with their recent hospital video, where we saw Meghan Markle twerking while pregnant with Princess Lilibet – however, the clip also confused fans when they thought they were having a new baby – baby number three!
Fortunately, Meghan’s caption on the Instagram clip seemed to clear it up. Meghan and Harry are not expecting again, but chose to share the funny moment from before little Lilibet was born.
But what have the royal couple said about having another bundle of joy?
Did Meghan Markle have a third baby?
Meghan Markle re-sharing a video from when she was pregnant with Princess Lilibet confused fans, who thought she was expecting a new baby with Prince Harry. No, the Duchess of Sussex is not pregnant or expecting a third baby.
To mark their daughter’s fourth birthday, the royal revealed a video they couple had taken from hospital. We saw Meghan twerking in the clip, claiming they had read that dancing could induce labour as she was a week overdue.
In the video, we see Harry, moving and shuffling in front of the screen as the duchess twerks while wearing a black dress over her bump.
Meghan explained they had tried spicy food, walking, and acupuncture, but all attempts failed to kickstart labour.
But, royal fans had initially thought Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were announcing a new baby was on the way as they hadn’t seen many images of the duchess pregnant with Lilibet. When she fell pregnant with their second child, it was during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Sussexes were rarely seen due to lockdown restrictions.
What Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have said about having baby number three
In 2019, just months after their baby son Prince Archie was born, Harry explained how he felt about having three children with Meghan Markle.
In an interview with Dr Jane Goodall, an ethologist, the Duke of Sussex spoke about his passions over climate change.
Released in the print edition of British Vogue, that September month was guest edited by his wife the Duchess of Sussex.
The royal admitted: “I think, weirdly, because of the people that I’ve met and the places that I’ve been fortunate enough to go to, I’ve always had a connection and a love for nature. I view it differently now, without question.
“I’ve always wanted to try and ensure that, even before having a child and hoping to have children…”
Dr Goodall chimed in hoping they wouldn’t have ‘too many’, which Harry seemed to agree. He said: “Two, maximum!”

Duke was ‘interested’ in having another child
After Archie was born, Meghan and Harry made an appearance at an Army wives event in November 2019, when they still worked for The Firm.
The event honoured families of deployed servicemen and women.
One attendee claimed the Duke of Sussex was asking questions about having another child, and it was only six months after little Archie was welcomed into the world.

Susie Stringfellow, a mother at the event, told Forces Network: “Having our baby so close in age to their baby, I think they were keen to chat.
“Harry was really quite interested in how things were with second children as well, because we both have older children. And we were trying to encourage him to have a second baby.”
People also reported after Archie’s birth that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were already discussing having a new baby, after they welcomed their first.
Their dreams appeared to come true in 2021, when they announced they were expecting another bundle of joy. They confirmed the news after a friend released a maternity photoshoot with the couple and Archie on February 14, 2021. Princess Lilibet was born in June of that year, and they named her in tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth.
