Sir Elton almost sang it in memory of Princess Diana

The musician also went on to perform it in tribute of the former Princess of Wales. This included the Concert for Diana in 2007.

The event was organised by William and his brother Prince Harry to mark the 10th anniversary of their mother’s death. The brothers wanted to celebrate her life.
