Meghan Markle is ‘leading the charge’ after Prince Harry’s reconciliation plea

It follows Harry's bombshell interview

Meghan Markle appears to be taking the steps to make sure Prince Harry is okay following his reconciliation plea.

Prince Harry recently made a bold claim that he has tried to reach out to his family for a reconciliation. But ultimately he has been ‘ignored’. It comes after he and Meghan Markle stepped away from their royal duties five years ago. And ever since then, the rift between the family has deepened.

But it appears he and Meghan are trying to find a way to escape the tensions. And Meghan hopes it will take his mind of everything.

Meghan ‘taken the lead’ on planning family time

According to OK! Magazine, Meghan is wanting to spend more time as a family this summer. And has began planning numerous trips.

The sources revealed that Meghan is organising trips to Napa for wine tasting, family outings in Big Sur and Northern California. And it’s also believed they are going to visit a close friend in Colorado.

It’s rumoured the couple are also thinking of heading to Canada. They currently have an invitation to stay with celeb pals David Foster and Katharine McPhee so they could take a trip to see them.

The source said: “A trip to see her close friend in Colorado is in the books. And she and Harry are even talking about visiting Canada.”

They explained that Meghan wants to make a “big effort to prop up” Prince Harry after his reconciliation plea fell flat.

It’s said Meghan wants to “remind him that he has got all he needs with her and the kids” along with their “beautiful” life in America.

While their exact plans haven’t been announced, it seems Meghan wants to use the summer for “bonding as a family” and “unwinding” after both of them have had a “hectic time” recently.

The planned summer trips come not long after Meghan and Harry headed to Disneyland to celebrate their daughter, Lilibet’s fourth birthday.

Meghan shared images and videos of her, Harry and their children on rides, and enjoying the fun. And reports suggest it cost them between $4k – $7k (£2.9k – £5k) for the VIP passes alone.

Prince Harry made reconciliation plea in BBC interview

But Meghan’s plan to cheer Harry up follows his bombshell BBC interview, where he admitted he would “love” a reconciliation with his family.

Harry said: “There’s no point in continuing to fight any more. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.

“He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile.”

The prince also admitted he has “now found out the truth” and thinks it would be “nice” to reconcile.

However, it seems the plea hasn’t changed much – if anything – for the feuding royals. Ever since Harry left the UK behind, he has only made a few returns for work. But Meghan, or his children, have not returned since.
