Prince William's 'sad decision' over brother Harry as he's 'set to change monarchy when he's king'
It's claimed that William and Harry don't speak
Prince William has reportedly made a decision over his relationship with brother Prince Harry.
Itâs also been claimed heâs made a difficult but firm decision regarding the future role of Harryâs two children within the royal family.
It was recently claimed that Prince Harry wanted to keep HRH titles for his children Archie, six, and Lilibet, four. This is so they can decide when theyâre older if they want to become working royals.
However, a new report claims that under Williamâs reign, this might not be possible.

Prince William âmakes decisionâ over Prince Harry
According to royal sources, the Prince of Wales is preparing to reshape the monarchy to reflect a more streamlined and modern institution.
This includes drawing a line between working royals and those who have stepped away from official duties.
Despite speculation from supporters of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that the door might remain open for a future reconciliation or return for their children, William is said to be resolute in maintaining the current boundaries.
Itâs sad, but itâs a much healthier space for him to be at.
âWhat struck me the most recently is that he just doesnât mention [the feud] at all,â one insider told The Times. âIt used to be that the family stuff was taking up a lot of space in his head.
âIt was a very close relationship, and he was very upset. But heâs not letting it get to him anymore. It is a change. Itâs sad, but itâs a much healthier space for him to be at.â
This reportedly âsadâ decision is part of Williamâs broader vision for a âroyal with a small râ approach.
The future king apparently introduced this concept last year when discussing how he plans to lead differently from past monarchs.
William expressed a desire to focus on empathy, efficiency and modernisation, with fewer royals representing the crown publicly.

Williamâs âhands-onâ monarchy
Prince William is preparing to significantly restructure the royal familyâs operations when he becomes king, with an ambitious plan to modernise and streamline the monarchy for a new era.
âWhen the moment comes, heâll want to do it his way. Not just following a script,â a close friend of the prince reportedly told The Times.
Williamâs goal is to reportedly make the institution âfit for purpose in the modern eraâ.
Every department of the royal household is expected to face scrutiny.
The source claimed that William is ânot afraid to dig into the details and ask the tough questionsâ and wants to âfigure out what actually works todayâ.
William also reportedly wants to be a âhands-onâ monarch. The shift wonât stop at household operations. William also plans to strip away outdated formalities, the report claims.
Even his future coronation, sources say, will break from tradition. It is expected to be shorter and more modern than King Charlesâ service.

What titles do Harry and Meghan still have?
Harry and Meghan stepped back as senior royals in 2020 and relocated to America. They have retained their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles as well as HRH titles.
However, their children were only given the titles of prince and princess when their grandfather King Charles became monarch, following Queen Elizabeth IIâs death in 2022.
The alleged rift between the brothers, once famously close, widened after the release of Harryâs 2023 memoir Spare. In the book, Harry made a series of allegations about his family, including William.
Despite this, Harry has publicly expressed a wish to reconcile, particularly with his father, King Charles.
Speaking to the BBC last month, Harry said: âLife is precious. I donât know how much longer my father has; he wonât speak to me. It would be nice to reconcile.â
However, insiders claim thereâs been little sign of progress behind the scenes.
