Last month, Sophie, Jamie, and a string of celebs, including George Clooney, Kate Garraway, Sam Thompson, and Fearne Cotton, attended The King’s Trust Awards in Buckingham Palace.
At one point during the event, Sophie got to meet the king and shook his hand.
Taking to Instagram after the event, Sophie shared some snaps of herself, Jamie, and the king sharing a laugh together.
However, the star has since revealed that she actually broke royal protocol during her interaction with the monarch.
When meeting the king, guests are instructed to wait for the monarch to offer his hand first, before shaking hands.
However, Sophie repeatedly proffered her hand as the monarch greeted guests.

Sophie Habboo ‘mortified’ by meeting with the king
Speaking on their podcast, Nearly Parents, Jamie and Sophie spoke about meeting the king.
“He kept looking towards Sophie. And as soon as he went towards Sophie, Sophie put her hand up — five times,” Jamie said.
Jamie went on to say that his wife grew more desperate with each attempt.
“And then what happened was, the last time he turned towards Sophie, she put out her hand — she didn’t withdraw it. She just held it there. She just held it there and didn’t move it,” he said.
Sophie chimed in, saying she “thought I was missing my opportunity” and found herself “buckling” under pressure.
When Sophie eventually got a chance to chat with the king, he responded graciously, despite the protocol breach.

Jamie and Sophie spark controversy by mocking Meghan in palace visit
The married couple sparked some controversy by not only filming themselves in the palace, but by mocking Meghan Markle too.
In a video shared to Instagram, Jamie and Sophie replicated Harry and Meghan’s pregnancy twerking video, whilst on the palace staircase.
Using the same music as Meghan did in the video, Sophie and Jamie shook their hips on the palace stairs.
“The royal baby has arrived,” text in the video read.
“They said we couldn’t film in Buckingham Palace…,” they captioned the post, which has since picked up over 106k likes.
“All of our attendees are very well behaved,” the King’s Trust’s official Instagram account commented.
The response from the social media teams show that the royal family wasn’t too bothered about Jamie and Sophie filming on the premises.
Meghan famously came under fire for her video where she was shown to be twerking in a hospital whilst about to give birth to Lilibet.
