Prince Harry is in ‘exile’ after he ‘lost touch’ with friends as royal rift deepens
Harry quit working royal life five years agoPrince Harry is “in exile” and has “lost touch” with a number of friends, according to a royal expert.
Richard Fitzwilliams made the claims about the Duke of Sussex during a recent interview.

Prince Harry ‘has regrets’ amid loss of friends
Speaking to Fox News Digital Fitzwilliams said: “[Harry] is in exile. Undoubtedly, he has some regrets. He appears to have lost touch with many of his friends and, of course, there is the royal rift.”
The royal expert then went on to discuss how Meghan has been the one to front things for the couple recently.
“In recent months, it has been [his wife] Meghan [Markle] who has fronted things,” he continued.
“Her launch of lifestyle products has been backed by Netflix… Harry has picked up a couple of awards, but the fact that 76,000 signed a petition when he received the Pat Tillman Award was a warning that many Americans view the couple with disdain,” he then added.
Prince Harry’s representatives declined to comment when approached by Royal Insider.

Prince Harry’s plan to reconcile with the royals
Back in May, following the conclusion of his security court case, Harry sat down for an interview with the BBC.
In the interview, the duke expressed his wish to reconcile with the royal family.
“Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. But I would love reconciliation with my family,” he said at the time.
“There’s no point in continuing to fight any more. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile,” he then added.
Now, it’s been reported that the duke is willing to travel back to the UK, alone, to have face-to-face chats with the royals in a bid to build bridges. Notably, he will reportedly undertake these trips alone, without Meghan.
This is because he has allegedly realised having Meghan involved in reconciliation talks will be a “non-starter”.

Harry wants to mend rift
Speaking to Radar Online, a source claimed: “Harry didn’t expect the fallout to drag on this long. He’s beginning to see that including Meghan only complicates things with the royals, so he’s accepted – though not happily – that going it alone might be the only option for now.
“He’s finally realised that the way he handled things before hasn’t brought any progress, and this marks a genuine shift in how he’s trying to move forward,” they then added.
The source then added: “It’s incredibly hard for him. He cares deeply for Meghan, but he can’t deny the reality of the situation anymore. If there’s any hope of reconnecting with his family, he knows he has to try without her. And he knows he will have to make a trip back to Britain without her with his tail between his legs and begging bowl in his hands. He wants back into the royal fold and is feeling totally lost in America – it’s Meghan’s home and world, not his.”
