Prince William and Princess Kate have once again captured hearts around the world, this time with a romantic moment that took place during the French state visit on July 8.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were front and centre on Tuesday as they greeted French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron at RAF Northolt for the start of the French state visit to the UK.

But it was a small romantic moment between the couple that captured the internet’s attention.

Prince William and Princess Kate’s romantic moment during state visit

As Princess Kate descended the steps in heels and a flowing blush-pink Dior skirt, Prince William reached for her hand to guide her down.

This quiet but meaningful gesture quickly went viral on social media.

A royal fan account shared the sweet moment on Twitter, writing: “This couple! The Prince of Wales helping his Princess.”

The post was soon flooded with comments praising William’s act of care and affection.

“A gentleman,” one user wrote simply.

“Royal love at its finest! Chivalry isn’t dead, it’s wearing a crown,” another commented.

“What a lovely couple,” a third fan agreed.

Another fan echoed, “The world needs more men like the Prince of Wales!”

Kate also got her fair share of admirers.

“Now she looks like a princess! Just gorgeous!” one fan gushed.

Princess returns to royal duties

Meanwhile, Princess Kate, 43, stunned in a pale pink Christian Dior jacket and netted skirt, marking her first time wearing the French fashion house. The outfit choice was widely seen as a thoughtful nod to their French guests.

She paired the look with Diana, Princess of Wales’ Collingwood pearl earrings and a three-strand pearl necklace from Queen Elizabeth II’s collection. Completing the look was a Jess Collett hat and a sleek, pinned-back hairstyle.

Later that evening, the royal couple joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at a glittering state banquet at Windsor Castle.

Kate dazzled once again, this time in a red Givenchy gown and the Lover’s Knot tiara, another favourite of Princess Diana. The flowing silk creponne gown featured caped detailing and a pleated skirt.

The Prince and Princess of Wales shared footage of the day’s events on their official social media accounts, with one post reading: “Ready for what promises to be a wonderful State Banquet this evening in Windsor.”

The accompanying image showed the couple in their full royal glam.

“Stunning future King and Queen,” one fan gushed in the comments. “So Regal.”

“So proud to have you both, our future king & queen,” another wrote.

The moment comes amid Kate’s gradual return to public life following her cancer diagnosis last year.

Last week, she opened up candidly about the challenges of recovery.

“You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment,” Kate admitted during an appearance at Colchester Hospital. “Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’ but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult.”
