'Risqué' celebrity poster Kate Middleton had on her wall and it wasn’t William despite rumours
Kate has shut down rumours!
When Kate Middleton was at uni, one familiar face was rumoured to have been taped to her bedroom wall. Apparently, Kate Middleton had a poster of her future husband on her bedroom wall – a rumour that the Princess of Wales has debunked.
Instead, Kate has admitted she did indeed have a poster of her teenage crush, but it wasn’t the prince!

Poster on Kate Middleton’s wall wasn’t Prince William
At the time, Westlife, Backstreet Boys, Boyzone and Take That were filling the teen magazines and were causing fan hysteria across the globe.
Meanwhile, another familiar face was also hitting the front covers.
Dubbed ‘Willsmania’, mags like Hello!, Celebrity Focus, People and YM were splashing Prince William on their covers and he was a hi with readers!

William was studying at Eton at the time and Kate Middleton, a boarder at Marlborough College, has since been the subject of speculation over whether rumours were true and she had Wills pasted up on the walls of her dormitory.
Royal author Katie Nicholl penned in her book, Kate: The Future Queen: “Kate didn’t have a serious boyfriend, though according to her dorm mate Jessica Hay, she harboured a crush on the teenage Prince William.”
However, Kate has since denied these claims.

Princess Kate denies claims
William did indeed visit Marlborough College for inter-school events and may have even bumped into Kate, but Kate wasn’t amongst those gawping at him in the dining room.
Kate has also insisted she didn’t have his poster on her dorm wall.
“We would sit around talking about all the boys at school we fancied but Catherine would always say: ‘I don’t like any of them. They’re all a bit of rough.’ Then she would joke: ‘There’s no one quite like William.’ She always said: ‘I bet he’s really kind. You can tell by just looking at him’.”
Kate put these rumours to rest though during her 2010 engagement interview after William popped the question.

Princess of Wales reveals teenage crush
Interviewer Tom Bradby probed at the time: “There’s a story that goes around that you had a picture of him on your wall.”
William quipped in response: “There wasn’t just one, there was about 20.”
Kate joked in reply: “He wishes! No. No, I had the Levi’s guy on my wall, not a picture of William.”
“Well, it was me in Levis, obviously!” William cheekily retorted.
Reports claim that the Levi’s poster Kate referred to was likely the iconic 1985 Levi’s launderette advert featuring Nick Kamen.
During the time period that Kate was at Marlborough College, between 1996 and 2000, male models Tyson Beckford, Mark Vanderloo, and Marcus Schenkenberg also modelled for Levi’s Jeans.
‘Being a young king in waiting is rather like being a pop star’
Regardless, the crush Kate had posted up by her bed, certainly wasn’t William.
According to Nicholl, Kate wasn’t interested in chasing the prince at the time.
“Kate was more interested in playing hockey than waiting at the goal line on the hockey field above Wedgewood, where some of the girls congregated to gawp at the prince.”
Royal author Tom Quinn wrote in his book Yes, Ma’am: “Being a young king in waiting is rather like being a pop star. The position, the glamour and money associated with it does strange things to people.”
The fanbase for Wills grew even larger in 1999, when Tatler magazine named William as the hottest date for 2000.
