To celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary, Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi gave fans a glimpse into their life together with a heartfelt Instagram post.

On Thursday (July 17), Edoardo took to Instagram with a touching tribute to his royal wife, accompanied by a never-before-seen snapshot of the pair standing barefoot on a breathtaking Scottish beach.

“Happy 5th anniversary to my incredible partner, the most beautiful and amazing wife,” Edoardo wrote in the caption. “I cherish every moment we’ve spent together and am deeply grateful for our journey. Here’s to countless more years filled with laughter and tons of love!”

The candid photo shows Beatrice seemingly with no makeup on, and her signature red hair swept back casually.

Donning ripped skinny jeans, a loose black shirt, and khaki trainers, the princess is the epitome of relaxed, natural elegance.

Standing beside her, Edoardo wrapped his arm around his wife. The couple posed against a backdrop of clear water and blue skies.

I cherish every moment we’ve spent together and am deeply grateful for our journey.

Despite looking like a tropical paradise, Edoardo revealed in the caption that the photo was actually taken in Scotland.

Scotland holds deep sentimental meaning for Beatrice. Her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, adored the Highlands, spending summers at Balmoral Castle.

Beatrice’s younger sister, Princess Eugenie, once said: “I think Granny is the most happy there. I think she really, really loves the Highlands.”

This isn’t the first royal couple to mark a wedding anniversary in the beloved countryside. Earlier this year, Prince William and Princess Kate also celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary with a getaway in Scotland.

Princess Beatrice on motherhood

This new glimpse into Beatrice’s personal life comes months after she bravely opened up about a challenging chapter, the premature birth of her second daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose.

Beatrice and Edoardo welcomed Athena in January. They’re also parents to their three-year-old daughter, Sienna Elizabeth.

“Nothing quite prepares you for the moment when you realise your baby is going to arrive early,” Beatrice wrote candidly in a personal essay for Vogue. “There’s so little control. Will she arrive healthy? Will there be complications? How will you juggle the rest of family life while trying to keep a tiny human safe and well?”

Athena was born on January 22. She arrived weeks ahead of schedule, weighing just 4 pounds, 5 ounces.

“She was so tiny,” Beatrice recalled. “Her feet were almost the same size as the paws on one of my older daughter’s soft bunnies.”

Although Athena is now thriving, Beatrice admitted that the emotional weight of the experience still lingers: “It took more than a few weeks for the tears of relief to dry and for life with our healthy baby to feel real.”

She praised the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Professor Mark Johnson for their care and credited her involvement with Borne, a charity focused on preventing premature birth, for helping her feel empowered during the ordeal. She has since become a patron of the organisation.
