Today (July 17) marks Queen Camilla’s 78th birthday. And, in a new message on her Instagram Stories, Meghan shared quite the cryptic birthday post.
For the last few years, Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, have been estranged from the royal family for numerous reasons, starting when they stepped away from their duties in 2020 and moved to America.
But recently, Harry spoke about wanting peace with his family, and of his hopes that one day they can reconcile. While it looked like that may not happen, Meghan’s latest social media post lines up well with Camilla’s birthday – and recent alleged peace talks within the family.
Meghan Markle celebrates a birthday
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Meghan shared a video of her opening a crate filled with three bottles of her As Ever branded Rosé. That may not be too strange, but it was the caption that was a little more cryptic.
She wrote: “Sending birthday love (both near and far) to my ladies.”
While it’s unclear who the wine was being sent to, the timing of it lines up with Camilla’s 78th birthday. And the pair are quite far from each other.
The video was posted in the early hours of the morning of today (July 17) for the UK. But it would have been late Wednesday afternoon in California.

If there was a chance that Meghan was subtly wishing her step-mother-in-law a happy birthday, it would be the latest move following reported peace talks between Harry and King Charles’ representatives.
Last week, a report claimed that talks between Harry and Charles’ aides had taken place in a “secret peace summit”. While there would be a long way to go before the family has moved past everything, could this be a sign that things did go well?
Reports have suggested that while King Charles may be open to mending relations with his youngest son, his eldest, Prince William, may find it more difficult, especially as he apparently didn’t send any representatives to the meeting.

On Wednesday, the royal family’s official Instagram page released a new image of Queen Camilla ahead of her 78th birthday.
The gorgeous portrait shows the queen standing against a gate in a field in her private Wiltshire home. She is wearing a lovely patterned shirt dress with gold drop earrings.

Royal fans rushed to the comments to celebrate Camilla’s birthday alongside her and to wish her well.
One wrote: “Happy Birthday, Your Majesty! May you continue to lead by example for years to come.”
Another added: “What a beautiful photo! Happy Birthday!”
“Great photo. She looks absolutely radiant. Wishing you a beautiful day with good health and happiness forever. Happy birthday!” a third penned.
