YouTube star Trisha Paytas is preparing to welcome her third baby – but what does that have to do with King Charles and the royal family? Well, it all began with a bizarre internet rumour that got out of hand after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The 37-year-old is pregnant with her third child with husband Moses Hacmon, but each time Trisha tells fans she’s expecting a baby, they pull out a strange conspiracy theory.

As she’s set to welcome another addition into the family we take a look at the odd rumour, and how King Charles has been brought into the Trisha Paytas theory before.

Bizarre claims Trisha Paytas gave birth to reincarnated Queen Elizabeth II

The day before the late monarch’s death was announced, the YouTuber told fans she was ‘1cm dilated’. At the time she was expecting her first child, a daughter, which she later called Malibu Barbie.

The joke took hold, and for several days, it took over all corners of the internet.

Queen Elizabeth’s death was announced on September 8, 2022, but because Trisha Paytas was in labour at the time, the internet responded.

One Twitter user quipped: “You’re laughing. Queen Elizabeth is about to be reincarnated as Trisha Paytas’ baby and you’re laughing.”

Even Jojo Siwa chimed in, captioning a post: “How did the queens passing turn into this on TikTok…”

Queen Elizabeth II was trending wth Trisha Paytas on social media because a bizarre theory had claimed she was giving birth to the reincarnated royal.

The next day, the soon-to-be mum-of-three responded to the hurtful meme, feeling like she had to address the rumours.

She explained she ‘did not rebirth the Queen of England’ and that she was still ‘very much pregnant’ on September 9. She gave birth to her first daughter on September 14.

What does Trisha Paytas have to do with the royal family?

But the internet spread the rumour again after Trisha Paytas announced she was expecting her second child, because it was around the time of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

It may have been 18 months since the first rumour, but the weird conspiracy theory was growing. This upset the internet personality.

“I get the meme of it all,” she said at the time. “I was able to lean into the Queen Elizabeth one a little bit, but it also terrifies me that people believe in it enough.”

Twitter users made more jokes about King Charles dying and being reborn as Trisha Paytas second child – which she had to come out to say there was no connection between.

In a video online responding to the claims, she referenced Charles’ difficult relationship with his first wife, the late Princess Diana.

“I know we don’t like what Charles did to Diana, OK, I get that,” she said, referring to his long-term affair with his now wife Queen Camilla. “But like, once again, this is like an actual baby inside of me.”

Kate Middleton was dragged into the Trisha Paytas theories after King Charles

Weeks after giving birth to her second child, Trisha and her husband announced they wanted to try for a third baby.

But it turned into uproar as the timing again was unfortunate, as it came on April 6, 2024, less than a month after Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, revealed she had been diagnosed with a form of cancer.

On her podcast, she appeared to play along with the joke: “I just don’t love that it’s King Charles or Queen Elizabeth … I feel like if it was … I’m not wishing this but Kate Middleton … I’d take a Kate Middleton reincarnation.”

Trisha believes in manifestation – the practice of bringing your desires into reality through thoughts and actions – and feared the memes would go too far.

Her third child, which is set to be a boy, is due in July 2025.

YouTube star apologised to the royals

After her name began trending with the late Queen’s death, the YouTuber felt she had to apologise to the royal family, who were in mourning.

She said: “I didn’t want to say anything, I don’t want to make it about me or anything. It felt weird and I am so sorry to the royal family that my name was even trending under the Queen. I was so embarrassed.”

Trisha added: “Felt weird to say anything at all. But so many people IRL that we know, had been texting and calling about this. Including my dad who felt out of the loop as if I wouldn’t text him when I was going into labour.”

She continued: “Yesterday on the internet, I, for some reason, was trending.

“And I was so scared because I’ve been trying to stay out of drama and everything, and I realised the ultimate internet troll got trolled. And not in a good way. This was attention I did not want.”
