Family Guy has roasted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as couple 'devastated over being Hollywood punchline'
The episode took aim at their marriage...
Family Guy has taken a brutal swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, mocking their marriage in the same breath as some of history’s darkest moments, and likely leaving the couple “devastated” at becoming a recurring Hollywood punchline.

Family Guy episode roasts Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
In the latest episode of the long-running animated series, which aired on July 17, characters Stewie and Brian go back in time and meet author Mark Twain in a time-travel gag.
During the skit, Brian remarks: “Doesn’t history pretty much suck? The Crusades, Hitler…”
Stewie interrupts, quipping: “Prince Harry marrying Meghan Markle?”
The episode then cuts to a cartoon version of Prince Harry watching the show from a couch. He groans: “Oh, again?”, before turning to the screen and adding sarcastically, “Oh, like all your wives are so much better?”
The jab is just the latest in a series of pop culture mockings of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex since their royal exit in 2020.
Despite their highly publicised move to California for privacy, the couple has often found themselves the butt of jokes in US media.
Oh, like all your wives are so much better?
A previous Family Guy episode from 2023 mocked the couple’s Netflix deal. One scene shows cartoon Harry and Meghan lounging by a pool at their Montecito mansion.
A butler hands them a cheque for “millions… for no one knows what,” as Harry sips champagne and Meghan prepares to post a sponsored ad.
“Babe, time to do our $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco,” the cartoon Meghan announces.
Harry replies: “I shouldn’t have left the made-up nonsense.”

Harry and Meghan might feel ‘devastated’ by Family Guy joke
And it’s not just Family Guy taking aim.
South Park also made headlines in early 2023 for its “Worldwide Privacy Tour” episode, which parodied the couple’s demands for privacy while spotlighting their high-profile media deals.
The characters, bearing a clear resemblance to Harry and Meghan, were shown holding “We Want Privacy!” signs and throwing loud “privacy parties”.
While some reports claimed the couple considered legal action over the South Park episode, a spokesperson for the Sussexes denied it.
“This is baseless and boring,” they told Newsweek at the time.
However, the constant ridicule may be taking a toll.
They want to be A-listers, but they are continuously a Hollywood punchline. That is devastating to them.
Over the weekend, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told GB News that repeated portrayals like Family Guy’s latest could hurt the couple’s public image.
“I would say that this is a definite blow for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle,” Kinsey noted. “When they stepped down as working royals, they said they were going to live a life of service. And now Meghan is shilling loose fruit spread, and Prince Harry is doing polo docs that didn’t even hit the top 3,000 on Netflix last year.”
She added bluntly: “They want to be taken seriously. Clearly, they’re not being taken seriously. They want to be A-listers, but they are continuously a Hollywood punchline. That is devastating to them.”
Royal Insider has contacted reps for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment.
