Prince Louis, George and Princess Charlotte's 'aware' of uncle Harry's 'rift' with royal family
They're growing up fast!Perhaps one of the saddest things about the reported rift between Prince Harry and the royal family is the potential impact on the royal children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Not only are the little ones missing out on the opportunity to spend time with their cousins Archie and Lilibet across the pond, but they’ve also seemingly lost a once-doting uncle.

Back when Prince George was born in 2013, Prince Harry adorably discussed his new uncle duties. He promised “to make sure he has a good upbringing, and keep him out of harm’s way and to make sure he has fun”.
But they’re growing up fast. With George celebrating his 12th birthday tomorrow (July 22), Charlotte now in double digits, and Louis seven, they might be asking some questions.
In light of this, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams discussed what the Wales children’s real feelings might be about their uncle Harry.

‘The Sussexes are a threat’
“The children of the Prince and Princess of Wales have had to come to terms with their mother’s fight against cancer, which is extremely tough,” Richard told Royal Insider.
It’s of course been a difficult couple of years for the family, after Kate announced her cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy treatment in March 2024, going on to spend most of the year out of the public eye. Thankfully, as of January, she is now in remission.
Richard continued: “Catherine is devoted to them, as is William. George, one day will be king, and his inheritance will be safeguarded by his parents.”

“The Sussexes, at the moment anyway, are a threat,” he acknowledged significantly. “However, matters dealing with the rift with the Sussexes will have been of little importance at such a time.”
He continued: “It’s an extremely deep rift and the Waleses will not wish their children to be involved in it, but they will be aware of it.”
Prince George set to mark 12th birthday
Last week, Prince George and little sister Princess Charlotte delighted the British public with their presence at the Wimbledon finals. They joined their father and mother, who is, of course, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, in the Royal Box.
Tomorrow (July 22) is George’s 12th birthday. Princess Kate once revealed that it was her tradition to stay up late baking a birthday cake for her kids, so hopefully George will be in for a treat.
This also marks a significant birthday for the prince as traditionally, those in line to the throne do not travel together past the age of 12. So that means that William (heir to the throne) and George (second in line) might have to start travelling separately.
