The royals love football!
In the latest Prince William news, the Prince of Wales is set to travel to Switzerland to watch the Lionesses in their Euro 2025 final on Sunday (July 27).
Kensington Palace has reportedly confirmed that the prince will be jetting off to cheer on the England women’s football team. Elsewhere, both Prince William and King Charles have spoken out to celebrate the Lionesses.

William, who is patron of the Football Association, will be at the finale of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 final in Basel, Switzerland, following England’s win against Italy on July 22.
The prince, 43, is currently spending time with his wife Princess Kate and their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
The children are on their summer holidays from school, so the Prince and Princess of Wales have taken a break from their royal duties to enjoy valuable time with the young trio.

Meanwhile, Wills seems to have been keeping up with the football.
Following last night’s win, he penned on social media: “Brilliant performance @Lionesses! One game from glory!”
Earlier in the tournament, William had travelled to Switzerland to watch the England women’s team in their group match against the Netherlands.
Before that, on home turf, he visited the team at their St George’s Park training ground.

There, he told them: “The men’s team could definitely learn off your camaraderie and your team environment. You’re brilliant together, you create a very unique unit that is rare in lots of other sports. So hold onto that, treasure that, build on it, because it’s one of your greatest assets.”
William previously presented the England women’s team with their 2022 Euros trophy, after they beat Germany at Wembley in London.
In 2023, William faced major criticism when he failed to travel to support the team when they reached the World Cup final against Spain – which they ultimately lost.
He did send a video ahead of the match where he wished the players good luck alongside his daughter Charlotte. But this time, it seems the prince is keen to cheer them on in person.

It is yet to be confirmed whether William’s children will join him at Sunday’s match.
Although, his eldest Prince George has previously accompanied his father at football events like the men’s Euros final against Spain in Berlin last year.
Elsewhere, King Charles took to his own official royal family Instagram page to share his thoughts.
