Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tipped to 'make more money' despite Netflix 'blow'
Insiders have claimed that Harry and Meghan are on track to earn more money from Netflix in the future
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be facing headlines claiming Netflix has “scrapped” their multimillion-dollar deal, but insiders say the couple are far from out of the streaming spotlight.
In fact, sources suggest the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be on track to earn more next year than they have in previous ones.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could make ‘more money’ with new Netflix deal
Speculation erupted this week after claims surfaced that the couple’s five-year exclusive deal with Netflix, reportedly worth $100 million, was ending due to the streamer “losing interest”.
But behind the scenes, it’s a different story. According to multiple sources, while the current contract will expire in September, a new deal is already being discussed.
This new deal could mirror the $65 million “first look” agreement Netflix holds with Barack and Michelle Obama.
“Netflix boss Ted Sarandos remains a huge fan, of Meghan’s in particular,” Alison Boshoff wrote in the Daily Mail. “His support is a powerful secret weapon.”
Meghan’s Netflix-backed lifestyle brand As Ever is also poised to expand.
With two sold-out product drops under her belt, featuring rosé, jam, and flower sprinkles, the Duchess is reportedly planning new seasonal shows and gatherings, with ideas for Thanksgiving and Christmas content already in the works.
Insiders say Season 2 of With Love, Meghan is ready to go, and a third season could follow. Despite lukewarm reviews, the show still outperformed long-standing favourites like Queer Eye on Netflix’s global rankings.
One source told the Daily Mail: “The Sussexes are going to make more money next year from Netflix and Meghan’s Netflix–backed brand, As Ever, than they did this year.”

Still, not all aspects of their business are thriving. Their in-house company, Archewell Productions, is likely to face cutbacks.
Running costs of around $3 million annually have been largely covered by the Netflix deal, which will no longer be exclusive after September.

Netflix deal
With the original deal winding down, it’s unclear what will happen to previously announced projects like a Meet Me At The Lake rom-com and a reimagining of Great Expectations. Sources suggest both may quietly disappear.
However, the Sussexes reportedly plan to remain active content creators.
Prince Harry is said to be developing more documentary ideas tied to mental health and climate change. This is despite his previous efforts drawing modest numbers.
His Heart of Invictus and polo documentary struggled with viewership, the latter pulling in just 500,000 views globally. But the couple’s 2022 hit Harry & Meghan remains a high point.
As Ever
Meanwhile, while Meghan’s products have consistently sold out, critics argue her brand is operating at a boutique level.
