Princess Eugenie's 'gesture' to Meghan Markle on her 44th birthday as Harry tipped to plan 'romantic dinner'
The Duchess of Sussex turns 44 today
As Meghan Markle celebrates her 44th birthday today, royal watchers are keeping an eye on who from the royal family might reach out, and one name has emerged.
According to royal expert Jennie Bond, Princess Eugenie may be one of the few royals to send Meghan a birthday message, or even a small gift.

Princess Eugenie’s ‘gesture’ to Meghan Markle on her birthday
“I don’t think Meghan should hold her breath for birthday messages from the royal family,” Jennie told The Mirror. “Though it may well be that Princess Eugenie, and possibly Beatrice, will send a present or a card.”
Eugenie has maintained a relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan since their move to California. She has often been seen as a quiet supporter of the couple.
Meanwhile, Jennie believes Prince Harry will go all out to celebrate his wife’s big day.
“As far as I can see, he is still head over heels in love with Meghan and will probably organise a romantic dinner or perhaps a beach party with friends and lots of children to celebrate their happy family life in California,” she speculated. “Maybe a sunrise yoga session would set the day up rather nicely!”

Meghan deserves to be ‘pretty happy’
This year has been a transformative one for Meghan.
In the last eight months, the Duchess of Sussex has rejoined Instagram, launched her As Ever lifestyle brand, and debuted a Netflix cooking show, all while raising Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
While Meghan’s personal Instagram account has been quiet in recent weeks, her lifestyle brand continues to thrive.
On social media, she recently announced the restock of her 2024 Napa Valley Rosé, which sold out in under an hour last month.
Though it may well be that Princess Eugenie, and possibly Beatrice, will send a present or a card.
Jennie says Meghan has reason to feel proud.
“I think Meghan deserves to be pretty happy with how this year has gone so far,” she said. “Whatever she does or says gets slammed in the media. But she’s built up a substantial social media following in very little time. The products she endorses or sells seem to do exceptionally well. Her TV and podcast shows, although clearly not groundbreaking, are perfectly watchable, however much her critics like to pan them.”
In a recent podcast interview, Meghan opened up about her return to social media.
“I’m just grateful,” she told Skims founder Emma Grede. “Now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share [things] on my own terms.”
Referring to a video she shared of herself twerking to “Baby Mama” during pregnancy with Lilibet, Meghan explained: “That was four years ago. It’s also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there’s still a whole life, a real, authentic, fun life that’s happening behind the scenes.”
As the duchess marks another year around the sun, it seems her focus remains on authenticity, family, and creative freedom.
