Reason Prince William 'won't give cousin Princess Beatrice royal family role'
A former royal butler has spilled the beansPrince William may not give his cousin, Princess Beatrice, a role within the working royal family when he becomes king.
The Prince of Wales, 43, is known to have a close bond with Beatrice, 37. The two are often seen chatting and laughing together, along with their respective partners at royal events.
However, despite their friendship and her popularity, Beatrice is unlikely to be made a senior working royal when Prince William becomes king, a former royal butler has claimed.

What is Princess Beatrice’s position in the royal family?
Princess Beatrice, Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter, isn’t a working royal. As the daughter of Prince Andrew, she is ninth in line to the throne.
Grant Harrold, who worked for the royal family from 2004 to 2011, opened up about Princess Beatrice to the Mirror on the occasion of her 37th birthday (August 8).
He discussed how the princess’ ability to hold down a professional career, alongside her charitable duties, has often seen her described as the royal family’s “secret weapon”.
Are Princess Beatrice and Eugenie non-working royals?
Yes, both Beatrice and her younger sister, Princess Eugenie, are not working royals.
Known as Beatrice York in her professional life, she is currently Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at tech company Afiniti. For several years, she has also led an Afiniti programme to engage senior business chiefs around the world to support women in leadership, supporting this cause through charity endeavours and speaking engagements.
If that wasn’t enough, she also works privately with several charities.
Prior to this, she has worked at the Foreign Office and at Sony Pictures.
Meanwhile, Eugenie is a director at Mayfair art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

Beatrice’s career may stop her from having a working royal role
Grant has spoken about whether Beatrice could become a working royal in the future.
“Beatrice has her own career, so I don’t see William making her a senior member of the working royals,” he reasoned.
“They pull ranks when they need the support, and she’s been known to step up,” he continued. “But she has a job and does her own thing. She’s still such a valued member of the family.”
I don’t see William making her a senior member of the working royals.
He also praised Princess Beatrice’s diplomatic approach to tensions within the royal family. Beatrice has reportedly made an effort to maintain her relationship with her other cousin, Prince Harry, despite the alleged rift between him and the royals.
Princess Beatrice celebrates her 37th birthday
On August 8, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter celebrates her 37th birthday. Grant said that royal celebrations would likely be a “private affair”, but nevertheless reflective of Beatrice’s close relationship with King Charles and Queen Camilla.
He speculated that the monarch would likely give her a nice present. This could be some jewellery, as he apparently doesn’t tend to give out money.
Although not a particularly big birthday, it will no doubt be a milestone one as it’s Beatrice’s first birthday as a mother of two.
In January, Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, welcomed their second daughter, Athena. They also share daughter Sienna, born in September 2021. Edoardo also has a nine-year-old son, Christopher “Wolfie” Wolfe, from his previous relationship with Dara Huang.
