'Annoyed' Prince Andrew has 'no public future' amid new explosive book
The new biography contains many explosive allegations
Prince Andrew has no prospect of returning to public life amid the scandal he’s faced, according to the author of a new tell-all book.
Royal biographer Andrew Lownie spent four years researching his new book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.
Ahead of the book release on August 14, he has told Sky News that during his work, he saw “no sense of any appetite to reintroduce [Andrew] into public life”.

Prince Andrew has no ‘public future’ after scandal
“I don’t think he has any public future,” Lownie said. “I would say his private future is pretty limited, too. He lives in Royal Lodge, he plays golf, watches TV, and presumably sees his grandchildren. He’s living the life of a retired man.”
But the loss of his titles and status appears to have hit Andrew hardest. The duke had his military titles and royal patronages stripped in 2022. It came as he faced a US civil lawsuit over sexual assault allegations. He has always denied the accusations.
“What most annoys him is his lack of a royal status,” Lownie claimed. “That’s what really gave him his whole sense of identity.”
Meanwhile, royal commentator Pauline Maclaran has told the BBC: “This book appears to seal the fate of Andrew if he was ever hoping to be reinstated officially into the working royals.
“The public will be wanting to see some clear action on the king’s part I think. Particularly as Andrew’s connections to Epstein are raked over again.”

Explosive allegations about Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson
Lownie’s unauthorised biography makes a series of explosive claims about the Duke of York and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
The book revisits the events that led to Andrew stepping back from royal duties in 2019, following his disastrous Newsnight interview about his association with late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, and allegations of sexual assault. In February 2022, he settled his US civil lawsuit with his accuser, Virginia Giuffre, out of court for an undisclosed sum.
Extracts from the book have been serialised in the MailOnline.
The book alleges that Epstein once said that he and Andrew were “both serial sex addicts”.
This book appears to seal the fate of Andrew if he was ever hoping to be reinstated officially into the working royals.
It also alleges that Andrew was involved in a physical altercation with his nephew, Prince Harry, in 2013. However, a spokesperson for Harry denied that this ever occurred.
Duke of York faces virginity allegations in Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York
Other allegations include claims that the duke was “cruel” to palace staff and that he lost his virginity at the age of 11.
The book also claims that “women threw themselves” at Andrew because of his royal status.
The book further claims that Prince William has been trying to have Andrew and Sarah removed from their Windsor home, Royal Lodge.
Lownie says he contacted over 3,000 of the couple’s former schoolmates, staff, and colleagues, with 300 agreeing to speak to him.
He also revealed that he submitted hundreds of Freedom of Information requests during his research. However, all were rejected. Lownie has called for “more accountability from the royal family and more transparency”.
Royal Insider has contacted reps for the duke and Buckingham Palace for comment on the book.
