Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'proud' as their Netflix deal 'extends' in huge move
There had been speculation that their deal wouldn't be renewedIn unexpected news, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have today announced their Netflix partnership will continue.
Recent reports claimed that the couple’s five-year deal with Netflix would end this year after they signed the reported $100m partnership in 2020.
However, Netflix has confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell Productions company has signed a new “multi-year, first look deal for all its film and television projects”.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle release statement on Netflix future
Meghan, 44, gushed in a statement: “We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand.”
She then went on: “My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”
Later this year, there will be a second season of Meghan’s cooking show, With Love, Meghan, which was announced previously.
And if that’s not enough, there’ll also be a Christmas special!
We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix.
“This December, join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration,” a description reads. “Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs – with simple how-tos to follow at home. It’s a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy.”
On top of this, Archewell Productions will also make a short documentary film. Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within, will examine the HIV/AIDS crisis in Uganda.
A summary says: “In the heart of Uganda’s Masaka region, where the shadows of the HIV/AIDS crisis linger, a small orphanage becomes a beacon of hope. Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within goes beyond the viral videos to reveal a vibrant, one-of-a-kind community where orphaned children transform hardship into joy, dancing their way toward healing, belonging, and the promise of a brighter future.”
Meanwhile, another upcoming project is Meet Me at the Lake, a romance feature adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name by Carley Fortune.

Meghan’s cookery show renewed despite reviews
Harry and Meghan first secured their mammoth $100m deal with Netflix five years ago. This came soon after the couple quit as senior working royals in 2020.
The deal included a bombshell tell-all documentary series, Harry & Meghan, which aired in late 2022.
Harry, 40, released a Polo documentary in 2024. Then, Meghan’s cooking show launched in March this year.
However, over the last few weeks, there has been much speculation that the couple’s five-year deal wouldn’t be renewed.
The reports came after the duchess’ With Love, Meghan show plummeted to 383 in Netflix’s six-month engagement rankings. 5.3 million viewers tuned in worldwide.

In spite of this, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, has said in a statement: “Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. The response to their work speaks for itself — Harry & Meghan gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series.
“We’re excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.”
