Meghan Markle will 'benefit' from sending Khloe Kardashian As Ever gift basket

The move should assist her as duchess evolves...

Distributing Meghan Markle products from her As Ever range to celebs such as Khloe Kardashian is a “positive step” in the Duchess of Sussex’s journey as a celebrity influencer, a PR expert claims.

It was reported earlier this week that Khloe received a bag of goodies from Meghan, including flowers, veg, honey, and her rosé wine.

Khloe, 41, shared an image of her haul on Instagram Stories – and it seems she’s not the only member of her family to come in for As Ever tasters. Now brand consultant Nick Ede has applauded Meghan’s move, dubbing it the “oldest trick in the book”. And he has also explained why this generous gifting should ultimately prove beneficial for Meghan, too.

Following Khloe’s upload going live, Meghan, 44, reacted by reposting the Story with a kissing emoji, three love hearts, and the caption: “Hey hey all my girls with a K.”

Since then, Khloe’s mother, Kris Jenner, has revealed she has also come in for a few bottles. She thanked Meghan in a Story post of her own, also tagging in the As Ever brand on Insta.

For Nick Ede, this kind of global endorsement from a family with so many millions of social media followers is “great”.

He told the Express website: “It’s good to see the world’s second most famous family supporting Meghan and her brand. For her, it’s great to see the Kardashians are supporting their Montecito neighbour, and with their power and influence, we should see sales of the wine continue to rise.”

‘Oldest trick in the book’

Nick added: “It’s the oldest trick in the book to gift celebrities and friends your products in the hope that they will post or repost. To have the seal of approval from Kris, who loves a rosé, is great for the As Ever brand as a whole and could be a sign of things to come.”

Furthermore, Nick can see a bright future for the Duchess of Sussex as a powerful figure on social media herself.

This association is another positive step in the evolution of Meghan to become a celebrity influencer.

He went on: “This association is another positive step in the evolution of Meghan to become a celebrity influencer who can drive sales and maximise on her relationships to build her business.”

Meanwhile, amid such positive backing for As Ever, Meghan – and her husband, Prince Harry – received further good news recently. It was announced earlier this week that they have signed a new “multi-year, first-look deal” with Netflix for film and TV projects.
