Buckingham Palace removes Princess Anne birthday post after blunder over her husband
Princess Anne turned 75 on August 15
Buckingham Palace has taken down a post on the royal family’s website after seemingly making a mistake when discussing Princess Anne and her family, in a tribute shared to mark her birthday.
Here is everything you need to know…

Princess Anne’s birthday tribute blunder
The palace had released a list of 75 facts about the Princess Royal in honour of her 75th birthday on August 15.
It was here that an incorrect fact about Princess Anne and her husband, Timothy Laurence, was shared.
Because of this, royal fans have flocked to social media to complain.
The contentious piece of information was that Princess Anne is the stepmother of two children belonging to Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, her second husband.
Of course, this is incorrect.

Buckingham Palace shares incorrect information about Tim Laurence
The palace even named these supposed stepchildren as Tom and Amy Laurence and said they were born from a former marriage of Tim’s.
However, Tim has only ever been married to Princess Anne. He has no biological children of his own and instead is the stepfather of Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, Anne’s two children from her first marriage to Mark Phillips.
A rep for Buckingham Palace had no comment when approached by Royal Insider.
According to the Express, a tweet advertising the article has now been deleted, and it has been removed from the Buckingham Palace website. Although it can still be found when searched on Google.
Royal fans outraged
One eagle-eyed social media user pointed out the slip-up and stated: “#14 Tom and Amy Laurence? Either I’ve gone crazy or Sir Tim Laurence has secret children.”
They went on to muse: “Pretty sure this is an error, but how did that happen? I can’t think of any Tom and Amy siblings in the extended royal family.”
A second disputed: “This is not true. Sir Tim does not have children from a previous relationship.”
“That would be the best hidden royal secret ever,” chimed nother.
“That is so odd? Could it be an AI mistake? Someone at BP made that list with Chatgpt but didn’t check it? Otherwise that would be one heck of a plot twist,” theorised another.
“Wild,” exclaimed someone else.
