Rumours are swirling over whether King Charles and Prince Harry will reunite next month.

The king and his youngest son could sit down for a face-to-face meeting, according to reports. Could this be a step in the right direction for their reconciliation?

Harry may reportedly visit the UK in September for his work as a patron for WellChild.

King Charles and Prince Harry’s possible reunion

Their predicted meeting would be the first time Harry and Charles have seen each other since February 2024.

That meeting was when Harry flew to see his father following news of his cancer diagnosis.

Their face time was notoriously brief, as Harry reportedly only got about 30 minutes with his father.

“Charles always keeps a tight schedule and had a planned itinerary to leave London to rest and recuperate in Norfolk,” a source told The Sun at the time. “He is very fastidious about timekeeping. But it was significant that he delayed the flight to Sandringham when he knew Harry was visiting.”

Despite this, during an interview with Good Morning America that month, Harry insisted that visiting his father was very important to him.

“I love my family,” Harry stated. “The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that. I jumped on a plane and went to go see him as soon as I could.”

At the time, he also hinted at more visits. He said: “I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”

King Charles and Prince Harry’s distant relationship

Of course, as far as we know, Harry hasn’t seen his father since then.

A spokesperson for Harry allegedly told Us last year that the monarch and the Duke of Sussex didn’t meet up, despite Harry visiting the UK for the Invictus Games in March of 2024.

It seems the strain between Charles and Harry has only deepened since then, with Harry losing his appeal for government-funded security in the UK, further putting him off visits to his former home.

In a bombshell BBC interview following the loss of his appeal, Harry implied that Charles had something to do with his failure to be granted protection.

“There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands,” he claimed. “Ultimately, this whole thing could be resolved through him. Not necessarily by intervening, but by stepping aside, allowing the experts [to] do what is necessary.”

Harry, who is fifth in line to the throne, also claimed that his father isn’t on speaking terms with him.

He added: “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.”

Following this, it was widely reported that Charles and Harry’s teams had a secret meeting in London.

Outlets were later informed that Chief Communications Officer to the duke and duchess, Meredith Maines, was in London for routine meetings with the UK based communications team, media and stakeholders connected to Harry’s patronages.

Elsewhere, there is yet to be any confirmation published in the royal diary of whether Harry and Charles could cross paths.

Royal Insider has contacted Buckingham Palace and Prince Harry’s representatives for comment. Both Buckingham Palace and Harry’s representatives declined the opportunity to comment.

Although, Charles is expected to receive other well-known visitors from the US in September…

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, and his wife Melania, will pay a state visit to the UK from September 17 to September 19.
