What Princess Kate Middleton is 'really like' at the school gates with her children
"She never misses any of her children’s matches"
She might be a princess, but Kate Middleton is down-to-earth and hands-on as a mum, another parent has revealed.
Ahead of the premiere of The Real Housewives of London, cast member Panthea Parker spoke highly of Kate, 43, to HELLO!, explaining that they’ve crossed paths now and again.
“I see her quite a few times because my son’s school plays against her son’s school,” Panthea revealed. “They play rugby and football against each other, so we’re always at her school or my school.”

Kate has sons Prince George, 12, and Louis, seven, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 10, with her husband, Prince William.
Panthea explained that they don’t speak to each other but that she sees her “from afar”. She added that Kate is: “So classy, so lovely, and she never misses any of her children’s matches, so really amazing. And nor do I, otherwise how do I know that?”
Kate, whose charity work often focuses on young children and early years development, has previously opened up about being a parent.
Speaking on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast in 2020, she admitted that she often deals with “mum guilt”, adding: “You know, even this morning, coming to the nursery visit here – George and Charlotte were like, ‘Mummy how could you possibly not be dropping us off at school this morning?'”

Kate and William encourage their children to enjoy the outdoors
Kate, William, and their children have been enjoying the summer break of late, and have spoken about their love of spending time outdoors before, so it’s no surprise the children take part in sports at school.
Prince William was president of the Football Association until stepping down last year. He’s known for his support of Aston Villa, too, sometimes taking George to Villa Park to see the team play.

He also brought Princess Charlotte to the final of the Women’s Euros 2025. Meanwhile, both parents took George and Charlotte to watch the men’s singles final at Wimbledon this summer.
Royal biographer Robert Jobson told Hello! earlier this month: “The Wales family are sport-mad and William and Catherine have clearly passed on their passion to their kids, so we’ve seen George and Charlotte popping up at major sporting events in a way we’ve not seen in previous generations of the royal family.”
It forms part of the couple’s informal approach to parenting, which is said to reject traditional royal parenting methods. For example, it’s reported that shouting is banned at home, with staff instructed to help the children express their emotions calmly and respectfully.

Kate surprised William with talk of ‘more babies’ in resurfaced clip
In a recently resurfaced clip, William was left stunned after Kate’s comments about having “more babies”.
Kate made the comments during an official tour to Poland and Germany in 2017, before she welcomed their third child, Louis. She was offered a cuddly toy made by a Warsaw-based tech company and designed to soothe newborns. She said to William:” We’ll just have to keep having more babies!”
William looked slightly surprised, but less than two months later, Kensington Palace announced that Kate was expecting the couple’s third child.
More recently, reports revealed that the family will move from their Adelaide Cottage home in Windsor to eight-bedroom Forest Lodge, also located in Windsor, later this year.
