Sarah Ferguson ‘filled with gratitude and hope’ as she issues new statement amid book controversy
She has marked World Humanitarian Day
Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has released an uplifting statement to mark World Humanitarian Day amid the renewed scrutiny following the release of a bombshell new book about her and Prince Andrew.
“Today on World Humanitarian Day, I’m filled with gratitude and hope,” Sarah said in a heartfelt Instagram post.
“Over the decades, we’ve delivered aid to Afghan and Ukrainian refugees, brought essential supplies to NHS workers through @sarahs_trust_, and championed education for children via Children in Crisis, educating over 1.4 million children and building 57 schools.”

Sarah Ferguson releases statement amid book scandal
Sarah’s comments arrive just days after the release of a bombshell biography that has painted a damning portrait of the Duke, 65, and Duchess of York.
However, Sarah remains focused on her humanitarian goals.
“As I stand alongside inspiring young activists through @glblctzn and the @youthimpactcouncil, I’m reminded of one simple truth: that small acts of kindness can spark extraordinary change,” she continued in her message.
“My wish for the future? That we all become bridges between generations, communities and dreams. So together, let’s continue to offer compassion. Lift up young voices, and nurture a more hopeful, and inclusive world for all.”
Alongside the heartfelt caption, Sarah shared a carousel of photos showcasing her humanitarian work over the years.
Sarah’s charitable organisation, Sarah’s Trust, describes itself as a “vital bridge” between philanthropic donors and grassroots charities in need of urgent support. Since its inception, the Trust has partnered with over 40 organisations and impacted communities in more than 25 countries.
Its mission is to “create impactful and sustainable change for forgotten families and communities around the world”.
The charity supports evidence-based NGOs with both grants and hands-on aid.
The message comes at a time of fresh controversy. Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, a new biography by Andrew Lownie, along with a Channel 5 documentary Andrew & Fergie: The Duke and Duchess of Excess, has reignited media interest in the pair’s spending habits and Prince Andrew’s alleged ties to global scandals.
Despite this, Sarah’s tone has remained one of resilience.
Last week, she marked International Youth Day with another post. Expressing her admiration for young people, Sarah wrote: “Your actions, no matter how big or small they feel, truly make a difference. Today, we celebrate YOU!”

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson ‘arrive’ at Balmoral
Meanwhile, Sarah, 65, and Prince Andrew have reportedly joined King Charles at Balmoral, the royal family’s summer retreat in Scotland. This is despite the renewed backlash.
According to The Sun, the duke and duchess are staying at Craigowan Lodge, a seven-bedroom cottage on the Balmoral estate.
“The Balmoral invitation is a huge show of support,” a royal insider told the outlet.
Their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are expected to join them with their children.
Among the many explosive allegations in Andrew Lownie’s new tell-all biography are claims that Prince Andrew was “cruel” to palace staff and that he lost his virginity at just 11 years old.
The book also alleges that women “threw themselves” at the Duke of York due to his royal status.
Perhaps most controversially, Lownie claims that Prince William has been pushing to have Andrew and Sarah Ferguson removed from their longtime residence at Royal Lodge in Windsor.
To compile the book, Lownie says he reached out to over 3,000 of the couple’s former schoolmates, employees, and associates. More than 300 agreed to speak on the record.
Royal Insider contacted reps for the palace for comment on the book.
