Princess Beatrice has ‘launched’ a tech company

Princess Beatrice has reportedly launched a new business venture with a senior figure at the World Economic Forum (WEF), according to new filings on Companies House.

The documents are said to reveal that Princess Beatrice was appointed as a director at Purpose Economy Intelligence Ltd in July, alongside WEF’s executive, Luis Alvarado Martinez.

The information also explains that each of them will hold a 45 per cent shareholder stake in the company, with the remaining ten per cent of the business held by Beatrice’s longtime private secretary, Olivia Horsley.

According to Companies House, Princess Beatrice’s new venture will include “business and domestic software development,” “management consultancy activities other than financial management,” and “other information technology service activities”.

Royal Insider has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.

Beatrice has also fulfilled roles at the Foreign Office and Sony Pictures. She also works privately with a number of charitable organisations, including the Teenage Cancer Trust and Outward Bound.

In June, Beatrice appeared on a panel discussion during London Tech Week. It was here that she spoke about the importance of “building trust” online.

This year, she pulled out of the conference and it was announced just a few days later that she had welcomed her second daughter, Athena, prematurely.

Royal butler chimes in on Beatrice future with The Firm

Former royal butler Grant Harrold recently shared his thoughts on rumours that Beatrice could become a working royal.

“Beatrice has her own career, so I don’t see William making her a senior member of the working royals,” he reasoned, when discussing the future of the monarchy.

“They pull ranks when they need the support, and she’s been known to step up,” he continued. “But she has a job and does her own thing. She’s still such a valued member of the family.”

He also praised Princess Beatrice’s diplomatic approach to the ongoing rift between Princes William and Harry.

Beatrice has reportedly made an effort to maintain her relationship with Harry, despite tension.

Princess Beatrice premature birth

All of this comes following Beatrice’s postpartum struggle, something she detailed in a heartfelt piece for Vogue.

“She was so tiny,” said of Athena earlier this year, whilst discussing her daughter’s premature birth. “It took more than a few weeks for the tears of relief to dry and for life with our healthy baby to feel real.”

Although Athena is now well and thriving, Beatrice admitted she is still unsure of why she was born early.

She said: “I have a few more answers as to what happened, but still no precise explanation. Looking back over those months of sheer worry, I am filled with a sense of determination that more can be done to help others find answers to those questions around the complications that can lead to preterm birth.”

She credited the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and the oversight of Professor Mark Johnson for their exceptional care.

Beatrice said she learned of their work through friends involved with Borne, a charity focused on ending premature birth.

Beatrice has since become a patron of the organisation.
