Prince Archie is showing signs of a budding love for football, despite his father, Prince Harry‘s apparent disinterest in the sport.

This week, six-year-old Archie made a surprise appearance on mum Meghan Markle’s Instagram, wearing a red jersey that some reports believe reveals his participation in a British-themed football training centre located over an hour away from their Montecito home.

Prince Archie attends British-themed football school

Prince Archie’s T-shirt bore the logo of “GB Soccer School,” a British-style football programme based in Studio City, California. It’s located around 70 miles from Montecito.

The school offers classes to children aged two to 10. It runs seasonal camps, weekly classes, and a league programme.

Meghan’s post, which featured the logo, was quietly reposted by the school’s official Instagram, complete with a smiling emoji and football. A strong hint that Archie is among its recruits! However, it wasn’t confirmed.

The school’s programmes aren’t casual drop-offs either. According to its website, parents are expected to remain present for all sessions, suggesting Harry or Meghan likely accompany Archie to each class.

But GB Soccer School isn’t your average kids’ weekend activity.

Class prices range from £238 ($320) for 45 minutes to £270 ($360) for an hour, with each term running for eight weeks.

That means a season could cost up to to £2,148 ($2,880). This excludes add-ons like private coaching, which costs £186 ($250) per session, with a minimum commitment of eight sessions.

Prince Harry ‘not a big fan’ of football

While Archie seems to be enjoying his sporty extracurriculars, Prince Harry, 40, hasn’t always shared the same enthusiasm for soccer.

Speaking at the Upfront Summit earlier this year, Harry admitted: “I’ve never really been a big fan of soccer.”

In 2017, he confirmed his support for Arsenal. However, he has rarely been seen attending matches or engaging with the sport publicly.

However, a moment in the couple’s Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan shows him kicking a football with toddler Archie on his shoulders in the garden.

The photos of Archie wearing the football jersey and enjoying the behind the scenes of Meghan’s Netflix show mark a rare peek into the couple’s closely guarded family life.

Today I wanted to share some of the favorites I kept on rotation!

In the With Love, Meghan season two promo post, Archie holds a clapperboard. Another snap featured him and Lilibet observing the production crew on set.

Meghan captioned the post: “Filming season two of ‘With Love, Meghan’ was more fun than you can imagine.

“Part of how we kept the vibe alive? Music. Today I wanted to share some of the favorites I kept on rotation! Add them to your playlist, press shuffle, and enjoy! Happy Labor Day weekend!”
