Kate Middleton and Prince William returned to duties on Thursday after their summer break, and the Princess of Wales has wowed fans with her “blonde” hair.

The Princess of Wales, 43, recently sparked a fan frenzy over her hair when she, William, and their three children attended a church service at Balmoral in Scotland at the end of August. Many thought the princess had lightened her hair to a honey blonde colour.

On Thursday (September 4), the Prince and Princess of Wales returned to work as they visited the Natural History Museum to look at its newly redeveloped gardens.

Kate and William, 43, arrived at the museum on Thursday morning. Shortly after their arrival, they were met with a downpour of rain – typical British weather!

Sweetly, Kate quickly turned into mum mode as it began pouring with rain during the visit.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the Princess of Wales’ hair.

As reported by HELLO!, Beverley Brown, an assistant headteacher at Kender Primary School, said: “We had been waiting for the session to start, and the children were very excited. Princess Kate was in amongst us and said, ‘Let them go in,’ and ‘Let’s take them inside, it’s pouring.'”

It came as some royal fans complained on X. Alongside a clip of the children and Kate out in the rain, one person said: “These poor babies! Very sad.”

Another wrote: “I feel sorry for the children, especially as this is their first week back from the holidays.”

A third tweeted: “They should’ve taken the kids inside out of the rain instead of standing out in it!!”

Elsewhere, the Princess of Wales’ lighter hair caught the attention of fans.

We’ve seen Kate with many different shades of brunette over the years and she’s no stranger to lightening her hair over the spring and summer months.

Her most recent look seems to be much lighter than her usual colour, which she could have had done or it may just be due to the summer sun.

Either way, royal fans are loving Kate’s honey colour online.

Someone else gushed: “Wow, can we all just take a moment to appreciate the Princess of Wales’ hair here, it deserves its own post.”

Meanwhile, another added: “Love the hair colour on Catherine, Princess of Wales.”

William and Kate return to work after summer break

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ visit to the Natural History Museum marks the couple’s return to work.

Kate is Parton of the museum.

They enjoyed several weeks off with their three children, George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, seven, over the summer.

But with schools in the UK returning this week, William and Kate are back in work mode!
