Prince Harry's 'secret' love for Harry Potter 'exposed' by Prince William
Harry is a Potterhead!Prince Harry once had his “secret” love for Harry Potter exposed by his big brother, Prince William.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, was said to be a big fan of the wizarding franchise during a visit to the studios in 2013.
Prince Harry’s love for Harry Potter franchise
In 2013, Harry, William, and Kate Middleton visited the Warner Bros. Studios in London.
The royal trio were joined by J.K. Rowling for the visit, which saw them enjoy some of the sights and sets used in the Harry Potter movies. They also saw some Batman props from The Dark Knight movies.
I haven’t told him yet that Harry Potter is fictional, so please keep the secret for a little longer.
During the visit, William took the opportunity to poke fun at his brother’s love for the franchise.
“I’m over the moon just to have seen the real Batmobile and Batpod. On the other hand, Harry’s just excited to see a real-life talking owl…,” he said.
“I haven’t told him yet that Harry Potter is fictional, so please keep the secret for a little longer.”
Royals love Harry Potter
In 2018, Harry’s love for Harry Potter was on display again during a meeting World Record breaker Dean Stott.
Harry welcomed Stott to Kensington Palace ahead of his world record 14,000 mile charity bike ride attempt.
During the meeting, a copy of Harry Potter Film Wizardry, a book about the behind-the-scenes making of the movies, could be seen on Harry’s coffee table!
However, Harry isn’t the only Harry Potter fan in the royal family. Queen Camilla once revealed that King Charles is something of a Potterhead too!
Speaking to the Daily Mail in 2017, she said that Charles would read the books to her grandchildren.
“Sometimes, when we are with my husband in Scotland, he reads them Harry Potter. And he does all the voices, because he is a brilliant mimic. I’m not very good. I try to do the voices, but acting isn’t my forte. But he sits down and they all sit with him. I always think they are going to be wriggling around in the bed, but they sit spellbound,” she said.

Prince Louis’ surprise Harry Potter connection
He may not be aware of it, but Prince Louis is another royal with a surprise Harry Potter connection.
Following his birth and the revealing of his name in 2018, the Wizarding World website revealed that Louis is named after not one, not two, but three Harry Potter characters!
In a tweet, the site wrote: “Louis Arthur Charles, you were named after three iconic Weasleys….”
Arthur is, of course, the father of the Weasley family, whilst Charlie (Charles, close enough), is one of Ron’s older brothers.
Meanwhile, Louis is the name of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour’s son in the books.
“The Weasley family approves. Awww that’s the best comment I’ve read today, makes me love the name even more,” a fan tweeted at the time.
Of course, Louis wasn’t actually named after the Weasleys. Or was he? Kate and William did seem to enjoy their visit to the studios five years prior…
