Prince Harry and Meghan Markle donate to children in Gaza and Ukraine
Harry, 40, and Meghan, 44, have stepped in to help children who have been wounded amid the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine.
The royal couple has donated $500,000 (£369,000) to help the wounded children. The enormous donation has been split into three grants.
The first grant of $200,000 (around £145,600) has been donated to the World Health Organisation (WHO) to support medical evacuations from Gaza to Jordan.
The second grant of $150,000 (around £111,700) was donated to Save the Children to provide ongoing humanitarian support in Gaza.
The third grant, which was also $150,000, was donated to the Centre of Blast Injury Studies to help it with its efforts to develop prostheses for injured children, particularly those kids injured in Gaza and Ukraine.

Prince Harry issues statement following donation
Harry and Meghan’s donation coincided with the Duke of Sussex’s visit to the Centre of Blast Injury Studies on Wednesday, which is part of Imperial College London.
The duke had previously opened the former laboratories of the Centre for Blast Injury Studies in 2013. He addressed his donations in a statement afterwards.
“No single organisation can solve this alone,” he said.
“Gaza now has the highest density of child amputees in the world and in modern history. It takes partnerships across government, science, medicine, humanitarian response and advocacy to ensure children survive and can recover after blast injuries,” he added.
WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said: “I’m really pleased about what he’s doing, especially for the children of Gaza. It’s not the money, it’s also the passion and commitment I think I see.”

Royal’s Children in Need donation
Harry’s donations to help children in Gaza and Ukraine comes just days after he donated £1.1 million to Children in Need.
On Tuesday (September 9), the duke travelled to Nottingham, where he visited the Community Recording Studio. The initiative, supported by BBC Children in Need, provides creative opportunities for young people, through teaching film and video skills and providing access to musical equipment.
He has supported the organisation for years, last visiting in 2019.
It was here that he announced his enormous £1.1 million donation. He also announced that the money was coming from him personally, rather than from his Archewell Foundation.
“Nottingham has been a place where I’ve heard harrowing stories, learned important lessons, seen resilience, and felt truly inspired,” he said.
“The incredible work being done by grassroots organisations like CRS and Epic Partners is not only inspiring – it’s essential. We’re grateful for the support of BBC Children in Need in helping changemakers in the city continue their mission to create safe spaces, build trust, and offer hope and belonging to young people who need it most.”
