Kate Middleton’s hair has been all the rage lately, as the stunning royal has been on a string of outings.

The Princess of Wales, 43, has been causing a stir with her seemingly blonder locks.

And somehow, she has managed to capture the attention of royal observers AGAIN, thanks to a little hair trick she performed during a royal visit this week.

Kate Middleton’s hair tie hack causes a stir

The princess is being hailed for her “hair wizardry” during a trip to a textile mill in Cuxton on September 11.

In a quickly circulating clip shared to Instagram, the princess could be seen expertly pulling her long hair up into an effortless knot. Evidently, without the use of a hair tie, claw clip or bow.

Because of Kate’s lack of a hair tool or accessory, royal observers are stunned.

Somehow, the princess twisted her hair into a simple yet chic style and was able to get stuck into silk screen printing within moments.

Donning an apron, Kate looked intrigued by the task in hand and completely unfazed by her lack of hair accessory.

She quickly tucked any loose fly aways into her up-do fit for a princess, quietly showing off her expert skills in styling herself, without the help of a hair tie.

Princess Kate’s hair ‘wizardry’

Royal Editor for the Daily Mail Rebecca English reshared the clip on X.

Alongside snaps and a vide of the princess, English gushed: “The Princess of Wales tries her hand at silk screen printing – she popped on an apron, tied her hair up (without a band – how?! ) and then got stuck in!

“It shows just how much work goes into the handmade fabrics here at Marina Mill in Kent.”

Princess Kate puts ‘wig’ rumours to rest

Consequently, royal fans flocked to social media to praise Kate’s no hair tie hack.

They also pointed out that this put rumours to rest over recent speculation whether Kate was wearing a wig or extensions, as tugging and twisting extensions or a wig could cause unwanted movement on the scalp.

During Kate’s appearance at the Natural History Museum at the start of the month, her fuller (and lighter) hair caused a stir. Some thought it looked like she was wearing a wig. However, it seems this wasn’t the case.

“Yes it is all her own beautiful hair! Never a doubt,” one gushed  underneath a video showing Kate’s hair bun trick.

Another added: “Bravo! Once again proving that you’re authentic, which is why I admire you. Let’s subtly silence people.”

Another said of Kate’s no hair tie hack: “It’s possible, but never comes out this perfect. She’s a magician.”

Someone else gushed: “We need a tutorial on the hair tied up with no band or clip! Impressed.”

The Princess of Wales stunned royal observers with her “bronde” hair back in August, when she was snapped attending church on the Balmoral estate.

Lighter locks

On September 4, Kate made a splash again. This time, during an outing to the National History Museum.

It was here that she officially debuted her even lighter locks. Obviously, they have gone down a storm with fans.

So much so that hairstylists have been figuring out how to emulate Kate’s hair.

Hairstylists on Fresha have pulled together all the info and explained exactly how to ask your hairdresser for Kate’s “classic warm brunette” hairdo.

Although the styling of Kate’s hair is beautiful, the colour is what everyone has been musing over.

According to expert hairstylists, the Princess of Wales hair is described as a classic warm brunette with subtle caramel and honey-toned highlights.

How to achieve Princess Kate’s hairstyle

For dimension, her hairdresser appears to use “fine ribbons of lighter tones woven throughout the mid-lengths and ends”.

This is what they recommend to ask for in a salon: “Request a medium to dark brunette base with soft caramel balayage highlights.

“Ask for face-framing lighter pieces (also known as a money piece) around the front to brighten your complexion.”

They concluded: “Keep the tones warm, not ash, so the overall look feels healthy and glossy. A glossing treatment or toner should be added to give that mirror-shine finish the Princess is known for.”

Stunning!

As for the cut, Kate’s hairstyle is described as a long, layered style with shaping around the face.

The layers are said to be kept soft to ensure movement whilst keeping thickness. It is recommended to go for a smooth blow-dry to achieve Kate’s smooth look.

Hair Stylists on Fresha said: “To keep this look fresh, book in for a toner every 6–8 weeks and a cut every 10–12 weeks. The key is shine, so never skip on a nourishing mask or salon glossing service.”
