Prince William and Kate Middleton's 'extreme suspicion' over Prince Harry after his UK visit
Harry and Charles met at Clarence House on Wednesday
Prince William and Kate Middleton may remain deeply wary of Prince Harry following his recent return to the UK for a series of charitable engagements, according to a royal commentator.
According to Richard Fitzwilliams, the Prince and Princess of Wales are likely to regard Harry with “extreme suspicion” given his history of publicly revealing private royal conversations.

Prince William and Kate Middleton ‘suspicious’ of Prince Harry
The Duke of Sussex was in the UK for a four-day visit this week, during which he attended several charitable engagements, including the WellChild Awards and a special event for the Diana Award.
On Wednesday, Harry met privately with his father, King Charles, at Clarence House while the monarch was in London.
Although Harry made time to see his father during a break in his schedule, reports suggest there were no plans for a meeting with William and Kate.
Speaking to the Express, Mr Fitzwilliams explained why reconciliation between the brothers appears so unlikely at this stage.
“I think William and Catherine will, rightly, regard Harry with extreme suspicion,” he said. “As will the king.”
The royal expert pointed to Harry’s past decisions to share details of private family discussions in interviews and in his 2023 memoir Spare. Those disclosures, he suggested, have left William and Kate reluctant to trust him again.
Mr Fitzwilliams admitted that a reconciliation between the Sussexes and the royal family would be “desirable,” particularly in light of the king’s cancer treatment. However, he stressed that it would take significant change from Harry and Meghan Markle.
“They really have to change if they do want to reconcile, something which is obviously desirable, especially when there is illness in the family,” he said. “But it may not actually happen.”
During this UK trip, Meghan remained in California with the couple’s two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Inside Prince Harry’s UK visit
Despite the reported rift with his family, a spokesperson for Harry said he had thoroughly enjoyed his return to Britain.
“He’s obviously loved being back in the UK, catching up with old friends, colleagues, and just generally being able to support the incredible work of the causes that mean so much to him,” the spokesperson told PEOPLE.

Harry appeared upbeat following his private reunion with Charles, saying his father was “great” when asked.
For now, Prince Harry’s visit appears to have strengthened his bond with his father. But with William and Kate reportedly keeping their distance, full family reconciliation remains out of reach.
