Meghan Markle may feel 'threatened' following Prince Harry's meeting with King Charles

As Prince Harry moves to rebuild bridges with King Charles, questions are being raised about how Meghan Markle may feel about the prospect of reconciling with the royal family.
Last week, Prince Harry, 41, returned to the UK for a four-day solo visit. During the trip, the Duke of Sussex met with his father, King Charles, at Clarence House for a private tea.
Shortly after, Harry beamed at a reception for the Invictus Games, telling guests his father was doing “great”.
Royal watchers have taken the meeting as a sign of hope that a reconciliation between Harry and the wider royal family may be on the horizon.

Meghan Markle may feel ‘threatened’ by Prince Harry’s meeting with King Charles
Speaking to OK!, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has shared her thoughts on what she thinks Meghan may be feeling.
She said that Meghan may feel “somewhat threatened by her husband being drawn back into the royal circle”.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, has opened up about her struggles during her time as a working royal.
In her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, she revealed that she felt loneliness and had suicidal thoughts.
In 2020, Harry and Meghan stepped back from their duties and have built a life in California with their children, Archie and Lilibet.

Prince Harry wants to ‘come back to the UK more’
Harry has made no secret of wanting his children to have ties to their family in Britain. A friend told The Times recently: “He wants them to know their family here. He really would like to come back to the UK much more.”
But bringing Archie and Lilibet into the equation could be even harder for Meghan, as security concerns may remain.
Earlier this year, Harry lost his court appeal over the downgrade of his security protection in the UK which happened in 2020 when they stepped down.
He admitted to the BBC in May: “I can’t see a world in which I will be bringing my wife and children back to the UK. They’re going to miss everything, I love my country. I miss the UK, I miss parts of the UK.”
However, speaking to The Guardian last week, Harry said he would bring his children to the UK in the future after his recent meeting with Charles and UK visit.
Speculation about a thaw in the reported royal rift grew in July, when aides from the king’s office met with members of the Sussexes’ communications team.
The reps were photographed in London in a meeting described as “secret peace talks“.
Meanwhile, Meghan has emphasised her contentment with life in Montecito, California. Last month, she appeared to describe part of her time as a working royal as “inauthentic” contrasting it with the freedom she now enjoys.
