ABC also confirmed in a press release: “Viewers will hear reflections on childhood visits to the park from some of Disney’s biggest fans. And an exclusive message from Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, on what the park means to them and their family.”

The Duke, 41, and Duchess of Sussex recently took their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to Disneyland. The family made the special trip to celebrate Lilibet’s fourth birthday.

Meghan, 44, later posted a clip from the family’s two-day trip on Instagram.

Prepare yourself. You’re about to be blown away.

“Thank you, @disneyland, for giving our family two days of pure joy!” She gushed in the caption.

The video showed the family enjoying rides, watching shows, and cutting into a Disney princess inspired birthday cake, while Peggy Lee’s It’s a Good Day played in the background.

In the new ABC special, Harry reveals his favourite Disney ride. Smiling, he says: “Space Mountain was one of my favourites.”

“Still one of your favourite rides, by the way,” Meghan teases.

To which Harry replies: “Of course.”

Alongside the Sussexes, the special will also showcase a line-up of Disney icons and Hollywood stars.

Julie Andrews, who famously played Mary Poppins, will recall visiting Disneyland with Walt Disney himself. Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf in Frozen, will also share his experiences as a skipper on the Jungle Cruise.

Other names include George Lucas, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Stephanie Beatriz, and John Stamos, who will also offer their reflections on the park that has captured imaginations for seven decades.

Later in the preview, Harry is heard enthusiastically declaring: “Prepare yourself. You’re about to be blown away.”

“We were just so lucky,” Meghan gushes.

Harry and Meghan’s trip with their children

The couple likely referred to their two-day adventure over the summer.

At the time, reports claimed that they used a VIP tour guide to allow them to enjoy the park undisturbed by the public.

“Celebrity guests are typically driven around by a personal tour guide backstage,” an insider told HELLO!. “They don’t have to go through the crowds in the park. [They get to] use cast member entrances backstage to enter the rides.

“And they probably had lunch either in Walt’s apartment or in Club 33, which is a very exclusive Disney club.”

Royal Insider contacted reps for the Sussexes on this.
