Kate Middleton’s brother feeling 'proud' after seeing her wear Princess Diana's tiara

Last night (September 17) Donald Trump joined the royal family for the state banquet, after he spent the day having engagements.
Following the dinner, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account posted a portrait of William and Kate in their outfits and it’s safe to say they looked amazing.
Kate Middleton’s brother comments on photo
In the post, Kate Middleton and Prince William looked loved-up and absolutely stunning standing beside two large plants on either side of them. Kate wore the Lover’s Knot tiara with a gold, lace dress designed by Phillipa Lepley.
The dress featured hand-embroidered gold Chantilly lace over a silk crepe gown. Kate also wore a sash that featured her royal orders.
The Instagram account captioned the post: “Ready for the state banquet” with the flags for America and The UK.
Taking to the comments of the post, James Middleton expressed his own views on his big sister and her husband’s appearance.
He wrote: “Proud to be [UK flag emoji]”.
Fans were quickly thrilled to see Kate’s brother showing such public support for the couple and began responding to his comment.
One fan penned: “You must be even prouder to be her loving brother. What a credit she is!”
Another one added: “We love you, your sister and your parents! Thank you for being such a wonderful family and for supporting Catherine and William so much.”
Fans gush over William and Kate’s appearance
James wasn’t the only one to share his views on the post, as quite a lot of fans agreed with Kate Middleton’s brother.
Many took to the comments to gush over how incredible the Prince and Princess of Wales looked.
One wrote: “This dress is AMAZING. I’m actually crying with happy tears about how beautiful this couple is!”
“Holy smokes! Y’all are stunning. And that dress is gorgeous” another commented.
A third penned: “WOW. There aren’t enough words to describe how gorgeous you both are. Thank you for sharing this stunning portrait with us.”
Are Kate and James close?
Kate and James appear to have stayed extremely close over the years. Whenever he gets the opportunity, James always says something positive about his sister.
Back in May, James spoke about his relationship with both of his sisters, Kate and Pippa.
He told them: “I’m incredibly fortunate to have my two sisters, not just as siblings, but as friends. They have seen me at my best and at my lowest. They have always been there when I have needed them.”
James had his own mental health struggles over the years, but credited “having strong women” in his life as what helped him learn that “vulnerability wasn’t weakness”.
