The Duchess of Sussex spoke to Beyoncé's motherBeyoncè’s mum appeared to take a swipe at Meghan Markle during a podcast appearance earlier this year.
Meghan, 44, and Beyoncé, 44, are pals, having first met back in 2019 at the London premiere of The Lion King.

Beyoncé’s mum chats with Meghan Markle on podcast
Back in June, Meghan spoke to Beyoncé’s mum, Tina Knowles, during a special bonus episode of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder.
During the episode, Tina opened up about doing business with her daughter, and seemingly offered Meghan some advice on family disputes.
“We have disagreements about things, but it’s her business,” Tina said.
“I’m helping with the business because I just want to leave this earth knowing that she, other than entertainment, is going to be okay,” she continued.
“Otherwise, we get along really well. If we have a disagreement, it’s her business, so she gets to win.”
She then added that whenever they have disagreements, she always gives in and apologises.

Tina offering advice to Meghan
At the time, royal commentator Sarah Hewson told The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show that Tina was sharing some valuable advice with Meghan about managing family feuds.
Meghan is famously estranged from her father, Thomas Markle Sr, as well as her half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr, and her half-sister, Samantha Markle. Her father Thomas, 81, has expressed a desire on numerous occasions to reconnect with his daughter and meet his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
That put down of, ‘You’ve got to not have arguments within the family and everything else.’ I bet she forgets that bit.
Prince Harry and Meghan also have strained relations with Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales. It’s something which has been exacerbated since stepping down as working royals in 2020.
Speaking on the show, Hewson said: “There was one particular line that stood out for me when Tina said, ‘Of course we disagree as family, and when we’re in business together and we’re working together, there will be disagreements.’
“‘But I don’t let them kind of sit. I can’t. I pick up the phone and I make up because I don’t want to miss that time.’ Oh, wow, ok, because, you’re talking to someone who is no longer speaking to her father and whose husband is no longer speaking to his father. And a lot of time is passing.”

Meghan’s response
Royal Exclusive host Bronte Coy then said: “It really stood out because she used the phrase wasted time and Meghan agreed and said, ‘Yes, it’s wasted time.’
“Surely she had that reflection of, well, there’s a lot of people around in our lives.”
Royal author Charles Rae was in agreement: “I agree with Sarah. That put down of, ‘You’ve got to not have arguments within the family and everything else.’ I bet she forgets that bit.”
Meghan’s husband, Harry, has expressed a desire to reconcile with his family recently.
In May, he sat down for an interview with the BBC. He confessed he wanted to build bridges with the royals.
“Of course some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. Of course they will never forgive me for lots of things. But I would love reconciliation with my family,” he said.
Two weeks ago, he met up with his father, the king, for the first time in 19 months.
