Laughing Donald Trump reveals King Charles' response to his new nickname
Awkward!A laughing Donald Trump has revealed his nickname suggestion that he gave King Charles during his state visit to the UK.
The US President was in the UK for two days for a historic second state visit.

Donald Trump’s new nickname for Charles
During his stay in the UK, Trump spent his time at Windsor Castle. The president, 79, was said to be fascinated by the age of the castle.
Then, during his speech at the American Cornerstone Institute’s Founders’ Dinner on September 20, Trump spoke about William the Conqueror – the first Norman king of England – who chose the site and built the original castle in the 1070s.
Trump said William the Conqueror had the “coolest name” he’s “ever heard”.
This then prompted him to attempt to give the king, 76, a new nickname.
“I asked King Charles, ‘Why don’t we call you Charles the Conqueror?'” he said.
Trump laughed as he said the king replied: “No, I don’t think so.”

Trump’s awkward moment at the state banquet
During his stay at Windsor Castle, a state banquet was held for the president and his wife, US First Lady Melania.
At the beginning of the banquet, both the king and the president gave speeches.
At the end of his speech, Trump said: “To His Majesty, King Charles III, a very, very special man. And also a very, very special queen. Thank you very much.”
Some royal fans were confused, though, thinking the president had referred to the king as a queen. However, he was actually speaking about Queen Camilla.
But, this is where the real blunder happened. When Trump said the word “queen”, he looked at Kate, Princess of Wales, who was sitting to his side. The president appeared to realise his mistake and quickly attempted to cover it up, looking for Camilla across the table. However, royal fans still noticed.
“Donald trump looks at Kate when he thanks the ‘Queen’ of England to conclude his speech. Awks…,” one fan tweeted.

Trump praises Kate
The state banquet also saw Trump praise Kate.
“So radiant and so healthy and so beautiful,” he said of the Princess of Wales during the speech.
A picture of Trump and Kate sharing a grin at the banquet went viral on social media after, and royal fans were loving it.
“This has absolutely cracked me up. What a fantastic photo. It’s great to see her REALLY enjoying herself and you can tell she’s very amused… he’s in his element with a beautiful princess next to him! Imagine the convo!” one royal fan tweeted.
“They both look genuinely happy. It’s beautiful,” another said.
