Why did Jessica Mulroney and Meghan Markle fall out?
Meghan and Jessica first met while they were both working in Toronto back in 2011.
Before Meghan shut down her original Instagram account, Jessica was regularly pictured by her side. They even went on a girls’ holiday together to Positano, Italy, back in 2016.
When Harry and Meghan’s relationship was made public, Jessica and her husband, Ben, offered them refuge at their home in Toronto.
When Meghan and Harry tied the knot with their stunning royal wedding in 2018, Jessica’s children participated as page boy and flower girl.
However, in 2020, things allegedly changed between Meghan and her best friend.
Jessica became embroiled in a “white privilege” row influencer Sasha Exeter. Sasha had called her out for allegedly displaying “textbook white privilege” in the fashion blogging community.
Sasha claimed that Jessica took offence when she called for social media stars and bloggers to speak out in support of the Black Lives Matter movements.

Jessica and Meghan’s ‘fallout’
Explaining the situation, Sasha said: “Unfortunately, though, one very prominent Canadian figure, who used to be an acquaintance of mine, named Jessica Mulroney, took offence to a very generic call to action that I shared on my IG stories.”
“What happened next was a series of very problematic behaviour and antics that ultimately resulted in her sending me a threat in writing last Wednesday,” she continued.
Jessica then spoke out, in which she seemingly alluded to her friendship with Meghan: “I want to say from my heart that every word of my apologies to Sasha over the course of the last two weeks privately, and again both publicly and privately today is true.
“As I told you privately, I have lived a very public and personal experience with my closest friend where race was front and centre. It was deeply educational. I learned a lot from that. I promise to continue to learn and listen on how I can use my privilege to elevate and support black voices.”
However, a source claimed that Meghan allegedly felt like Jessica was “making a career” out of their friendship.

Meghan’s ex-best friend won’t write a memoir
Speaking in 2020 to Vanity Fair, Jessica claimed that Meghan always FaceTimed her. However, they haven’t been seen together since the alleged fallout.
Now, it’s been claimed that Jessica won’t be writing a tell-all memoir about the fallout, despite the possibility of earning up to seven figures doing so.
According to the Daily Mail, Jessica said she would “never” spill what happened between her and Meghan.
Meanwhile, a source claimed that Jessica would be alienated by her friends if she did decide to tell all about her friendship with Meghan.
“Meghan still has a lot of eyes and ears in Canada. I suspect Jessica is not sure what to do [with what she knows]. Meghan is still pretty powerful and they have a lot of people in common,” they said.
“She is probably biding her time. She lost her career but to come after Meghan could be perceived as being petty and bitter and could potentially alienate her even more.”
