Locals 'disappointed' over 'kick in the teeth' order near Prince William and Kate Middleton's new Windsor home
The family will soon be moving inA new order near Prince William and Kate Middleton’s new Windsor home has seemingly left locals “disappointed”.
According to a new report, a huge no-go area will soon protect the royals, keeping the public far away from their new house.

William and Kate’s new Forest Lodge home in Windsor
Over the summer, the Prince and Princess of Wales announced that they would soon be moving house with their three young children, George, Charlotte and Louis.
Since 2022, the family-of-five have lived in the four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor estate.
Many of us have been walking our dogs here for 20 years so to be told we can’t any more is a kick in the teeth.
In time for Christmas 2025, they will upsize to Forest Lodge, located in Windsor Great Park. The luxurious eight-bedroom property apparently features a tennis court and extensive grounds.
Painters and decorators are reportedly currently at work, customising the house before the family moves in.
Sources have dubbed it the family’s “forever home”. Reports suggest that they intend to stay living there even when Prince William becomes king.

‘Privacy measures’ at Forest Lodge
It was recently reported that the family were investing in extra privacy measures at Forest Lodge. This included new hedgerows, trees and an additional fence.
Now, another security step has reportedly been taken. But the move has some local residents disappointed.
As reported by The Sun, CCTV cameras, fencing and landscaping will shut off an area of approximately 150 acres surrounding the Prince and Princess of Wales’ new home.
A popular car park and gate access to Windsor Great Park, which local residents previously paid £110 a year to use, reportedly shut for good as of this weekend.
A sign reportedly announced: “Due to the pending designation of part of the Great Park as an exclusion area, access via Cranbourne Gate will permanently cease.”
Any trespassers will reportedly be liable to arrest.
‘A kick in the teeth’
It seems local residents have had mixed responses to the news.
One local dog owner reportedly complained: “Many of us have been walking our dogs here for 20 years so to be told we can’t any more is a kick in the teeth. We pay annually towards the upkeep of a park but we are no longer going to be allowed to use part of it.”
Meanwhile, another highlighted the importance of protecting the young family.
“Obviously it’s disappointing as my dog loves it here. We come here every couple of weeks and we’re going to have to find somewhere else now for him to get the miles in,” they reportedly said. “But I completely understand the safety of William, Kate and their family is paramount. So we should make sure they can live happily here.”
Someone else reportedly told the publication: “We love the royals and William and Kate and it’s so exciting they are moving to Forest Lodge. It’s clear this car park closure has not come from them, but is down to security concerns.”
Royal Insider contacted Kensington Palace, who declined to comment on this story.
