Queen Camilla's '£30k' brooch may have symbolic meaning amid King Charles and Prince Andrew turmoil
Queen Camilla sported the jewellery at Ascot over the weekend

An eagle-eyed jewellery expert has noted the meaning behind Queen Camilla’s recent flaunting of a sparkling brooch amid the turmoil surrounding Prince Andrew and the royal family.
On Friday night (October 17), Andrew announced in a statement that he would stop using his Duke of York title.
The following day, Queen Camilla wore a brooch pinned to her jacket with a very special meaning.

Queen Camilla’s ‘subtle nod’ following King Charles and Prince Andrew latest
For some years, Prince Andrew has faced scrutiny over his association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The prince has been accused of sexual assault – allegations he has always vehemently denied.
Virginia Giuffre alleged she was made to have sex with the prince in the early 2000s after being trafficked by Epstein.
Ms Giuffre’s allegations against Prince Andrew have been hitting the headlines again in recent weeks due to her posthumous memoir.
Tragically, Ms Giuffre took her own life in April. Her memoir has detailed her alleged meetings with the prince.
In wake of the spotlight being shone in Prince Andrew’s face again, he issued a statement.
Prince Andrew’s statement on his royal title
“In discussion with the king, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the royal family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life,” he stated.
The prince added: “With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me.”
In conclusion, Prince Andrew stated: “As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”
Elsewhere, following the release of Andrew’s statement, Queen Camilla stepped out to attend Champions’ Day at Ascot Racecourse.
There, she wore a sparkling reported £30k brooch pinned to her pale blue ensemble. However, this was no ordinary accessory.

The ‘meaning’ behind Queen Camilla’s brooch
Jewellery expert Maxwell Stone shared the supposed meaning behind the brooch.
The brooch features a circle of diamonds surrounding a “blue cabochon gemstone,” (a moonstone).
“This gem has been cherished by royalty and jewellery enthusiasts for centuries, prized for its symbolic meanings of feminine energy, new beginnings, self-awareness, calmness, intuition, and safe travel,” Maxwell Stone detailed.
Most notably, the stone is said to have the power to spur on reconciliation. Evidently, this could be a meaningful signal from Camilla.
The statement added: “Intriguingly, moonstone is also believed to possess the power to reunite loved ones divided by conflict.”
Could Queen Camilla be signalling her hope for “new beginnings,” or a fresh start?
The symbolism is, of course, also fitting considering recent reports that King Charles and Prince Harry could be on the road to finding a resolution to their widely publicised rift.
Meanwhile, royal observers are waiting to see if more drama surrounding Prince Andrew emerges.
